Warning!!! Beware of Fake Promotions

I was recently notified of spam comment activity and fraudulent comments. I think the comments about this fraud are certainly very disturbing and can have an impact on harming many people on Steemit. This seems to be bringing a bad image for Steemit so that we don't get a security and comfort to play on the platform.

One of the visions to be achieved in a decentralized or blockchain is security and convenience for all users. So we must work together to inform about the existence of deceptive activities and have a detrimental impact on the people here. For users who have already joined Steemit, of course they will understand but what about us who just joined, of course this needs more guidance and education.

Here we must also provide support to the people who are working to make this Steemit a safer and more comfortable page like the abuser killer project. We really need projects like this because they can provide education to us newbies who don't understand anything in Steemit. They will also punish for violations committed by irresponsible users.

So to anyone who finds a suspicious comment or notification that you don't know the exact background of, please ask someone else and let other users know. You can also directly refer and discuss with people who have been using Steemit for a long time. It's not impossible that this could happen to anyone who in the end will make a loss like the case I've heard told other users is an account that has been hacked by an irresponsible person or called a hacker.

If from my search for this incident, basically they are not hacking. But they steal the data information that we provide directly to them via a scam link that they share in the comments. Because from several cases I've seen people or so-called apuse make comments with promotional offers that tempt or attract other users.

So they use the same tactic in the same way by providing a fake link address. Usually on fake webs they will ask us to fill in a username and password. From there they stole our account information through the web which is centrally controlled by the fraudster.

I'm slowly starting to learn about this to guard against and protect my account from fraudsters. For friends who get suspicious comments that you don't know and don't recognize, don't click carelessly. Regarding any promotions or gift offers, don't rush to conclusions by being tempted to get it.

If the promotion is for one of the names of a particular brain or project, please double-check the correctness of the information even though you are linked to a news website, for example. They also develop different methods, for example by creating a fake website in the name of a particular company or project that is their trick to deceive. So you have to be careful and double check through their official social media accounts, official accounts are usually confirmed with a blue tick label.

It's good for us to always be careful and protect our accounts, because any carelessness we do will have a detrimental impact. I really hope that the fraudulent accounts are muted and lost in steemit. Hopefully there will be many good people who work hard to make Steemit more for everyone.
