The Student, Steemit and Free Healthcare. A Steem Promo Charity Act
The Steem Charity Act
Children are the future of every generation and how they are brought has a great impact on how they tend to shape the future. What one is exposed to as they grow goes a long way to shape their thoughts and acts including their habits and their response to others. It is for this reason why some years back when @bettervision was born on the blockchain we made it part of our mission to seek out the deprived and help out make their perspective and perception of the world a better one.
Over the years we have had the privilege of touching countless lives of young ones and through this act got the opportunity to work with @girlsfoundationgh mentoring young girls and empowering girl child education through funding from the steemit blockchain. This was supported with additional free eye care to ensure that they are getting the very best of their education for it is through our vision that we learn most of the things we get to know in this world.
And so we distributed books, we had lessons and educational sessions, we visited those who did not have anyone care for them in foster homes and orphanages to offer our support.
The Student and Free healthcare
What many do not know is that students have the most health issues in relation to their eyes and vision. Due to their youthful ages most of them tend to be hyperopic rather than myopes especially for our part of the world where we live in and so such individuals tend to suffer from headaches and lots of ocular pain which can affect their day and studies in an adverse way. Hyperopia makes reading difficult as it tends to worsen its symptoms with near work which ultimately may be detrimental to the academics of the student.
Then there is the fact that those who turn out to be myopes can hardly see what's going on in class and on the marker or chalk board. Such students end up been branded dull for no fault of theirs because they end up writing the wrong things from the board and do not really get to focus in class because their vision is almost always blurred.
If you have not been there before you may not really appreciate what we are talking about but these students have their lives turned around drastically when they get chance to have their errors corrected and in addition end up with free spectacles fully funded with steem. Imagine their joy, having your vision restored and having to not pay a dime.
That is beauty of steem funded bettervision care and the reason why we do this, the smiles on their faces is always enough to put your heart at ease. And so we have been doing this since our time here and have impacted not only students but countless lives counting in the thousands. We have no intention of bringing this to and end anytime soon and so long as steem continue to exist will continue to propagate the good name of steem in our promotional activities through charity work.
Remarks
Refractive errors still continue to be one of the major causes of blindness in developing countries and deprived cities and towns in Ghana and most of this can be attributed to the fact that individuals cannot afford a simple lens correction which would cost not more than 100 steem at most. And so people walk around with blurred vision until the brain accepts this vision as the norm and develops into what is known as amblyopia.
It doesn't take so much to touch a live in the eye care industry and only if you will make the effort you will be able to bring smiles on the faces of many. This is what we do, this is what we are about and so even as we continue to touch lives and impact others, we encourage all and sundry to support us support others and bring light to the lives of others and bring smiles to their faces once again.
