Art explained by a writer - Salim and Anarkali
For @abdullahw2
What if the boy likes the girl and
The girl likes the boy?
Is that so bad?
The Prince, he was young and smart
A great guy and in love
As we all know it's the forbidden fruit
Tasting best of all.
Better hide your true feelings his best friend said
We all know how your father acts
The man is crazy and won't forgive you
If you take what he considers his
Even though he doesn't give a damn about that woman.
Don't worry, this is love
This is real
Can't you see how I feel?
True love is all one needs.
He looks good, he is great
I really appreciate he talks to me
He isn't a violent brute
Yelling, violence are not his thing
So completely different he is
From his father the emperor.
Oh my, dear girl
Please, keep your mouth shut
Don't say one more word
Do not let the others hear what you said
You are not his rank
My sweet friend please, I'm begging you
Let him go, ignore his advances.
He will never leave his inherence behind
That spoiled lad will kick you with a child
You are warned, he dumps you as soon as he can.
He felt bitter, betrayed by his friend.
She cried, sobbed and thought
How to give their love story a happy ending?
I wanna be with you and fight till I drop dead.
Salim, aren't you worried?
Crown or not you are my queen forever.
There's no emperor or God who can stop me from loving you. What Romeo and Juliet did we can do too. Do you understand?

He held her face in both hands and kissed her tears away. Tomorrow he would take her with him. His father had no reason to fight him, it wasn't his fault he fell in love with a concubine.
All you need is love...
He knew it was the feeling his father would never experience.
Are you alright, he asked
His horse ran fast and he wasn't sure if she could ride, before he knew she might fall off the back of the horse
He didn't care about what his old man would say if he ever noticed he had opened the wall where the cruel man had tried to bury his love alive. It's strange, he thought, how a woman is punished for being loved.
She wrapped her arms around him and smiled. He had kept his word and saved her from hell. No way she would ever abandon him.
I love you, you are my hero, she thought while the horse ran away with the two love birds.
Of course, these two made it although the story you know might be different.
But both had at least a good friend helping to spread the news that the girl was sentenced to death and the son had run out madly.
A love story with a happy end never makes a great story, there's no moral and the emperor's superiority would have come to an end.
Note: According to a source the couple shown are: Rupmati & Baz Bahadur - Lahore Museum in Pakistan - the artistist is?
Another drawing/painting can be found on the internet with the name "Salam and Anarkali" by Ustad H. Muhammed Sharif (1956). I write about them. They remind me of a film/series.

Awww!!! Finally you have done it for me 🥹. It is more than a gift for me and to be honest I was unaware about the real story of Prince Salim And Anarkali. But now I'm very happy to read your post as you have beautifully explained the real story behind that painting. True love is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world and there's only love which can make the people blind and force them to die for their lovers.
I will never forget and it will remain in my mind all the time 😁.
Have a great day ❣️ and stay blessed 🤗
It is not quiet the real story. They say she was punished, buried alive in a wall. He and his father had a fight. Years (?) later it should be settled and he was on the thrown. They also say he never got over losing her. Who she really was no one knows, it's not even sure if she existed.
The couple on the painting should not be them according to a man I spoke. That couple by the way are a Queen and a prince (?) what was special about their relationship was both were not only from different countries but also had a different religion. They made it work, respected each other and with that gave the example that not religion but love is the most important thing. Something we should cherish above everything. A believe, is not worth fighting for but love is.
I do not write about art easily especially not this one because I know nothing about it. If I find more informatiin I will update it.
I chose for this couple because they remind me of this film. If I find it I add the informatiin too.
It's good to hear you appreciate it. I intended to writebsomething different but I no longer could since I searched for the painting's informatiin..
Blessings to you, enjoy the story and thanks for thinking of me.
🍀❤️
Ooh well... Actually there is another matter of fact that the things which we read about the history of subcontinent is not 100% true and people share different stories on the basis of their knowledge and research. Yesterday I have watched some videos and read some stories regarding that painting and most of them are related to your article and research. In conclusion you have done a great job by writing about Salem And Anarkali. There is also a Bollywood movie on the relationship of Salim And Anarkali and if you want to discover more you can watch it from YouTube 😁
Anyway have a great day 😊
Keep shinning 🌹
I noticed this series but doubt I ever watched it. Lives of kings, queens, emperors are rarely attractive to me on first sight.
If it comes to describing paintings/art it is not my intention to tell the truth. What I try is to tell what I see if I look at it. What I see and think.
Next time it might be a different story.
What the artists shows is not important but what the one watching it feels and thinks.
Art should be watched this way. If people do that it's more liked by everyone and the artist did a good job. He or she touched the soul of someone.
Alright dear! I also agree with your point of view that the writer isn't responsible to tell the real story behind the arts. This is because the thoughts of people maybe different from each other.
Anyway, we will discuss or explore more arts in future and thank you so much for your contributions 💖. A good day to you 😊
I think you misunderstand me.
Each person looking at art sees something different.
I see something else than you do. That is fine and the whole idea of art.
The title I use is a joke, irony.
Such a nice story. It makes art more interesting.
