Today I would love to talk about the idea of steem blockchain witness their jobs and how they are being elected to help our beloved blockchain strive at a very fast rate and maintain the technical and logical aspect of the blockchain without any users knowing of or experiencing difficulty or failures.

It's funny to know that if you are new to blockchain related terms whenever the term or word witnesses is heard the first thing that comes to a mind of a newbie is someone who stand in for you or someone who act us evidence to you because they also experience what you experience at the same period of time.

Before I tell you or explaining about blockchain witness I want to explain or tell you how the logical activities are ran on a steemit blockchain and how each blocks are verified. Whenever we create a post or makes a successful transaction on steemit platform, this data and informations are added to a storage unit known as blocks, then this blocks are then sealed and permanently linked with the existing blockchain technology.

This witness on steem blockchain are the governing body of the steem blockchain, this witnesses elected by individuals with steempowers or frozen steem. All the aspiring witness compete to be among the top 21 witness who helps powerfully with the running or activities to maintain and develope the blockchain with higher power and higher privileges.

Although at every period of time only 20 of this witnesses are expected to be active and the last person who makes them 21 is just there as a backup to the other Witnesses, for in case any issues arose with the top 20 witnesses the 21st witness immediately would place it or backup that faulty witnesses node.

In summary this is what happens whenever we create post and send it to the steem blockchain mempool, then this witness would at first go through the sent post to confirm if it passes all the rules, the secondly the solve complex mathematical encryption and hashing issues to get an active and credible block.

This details and information gotten form our post or transaction history are carefully stored into the newly gotten block, after this blocks are filled with necessary data, the Block is then expected to be verified and after verification process the Block can then be said that permanently linked to the blockchain platform.
