Today, I am here again to discuss with you all regarding a particular topic I have started previously. If you were in my previous discussion, we talked about cryptocurrency drainer and how their operation is being carried out especially on the web3 ecosystem.
In regards to that, I am here today to talk about a related topic which I have titled WAYS TO PROTECT YOUR WALLET FROM CRYPTO DRAINER.
We will be looking at the various ways by which we can put in use in other to protect our wallet from cryptocurrency drainer. As such, I urge us all to relax and stay put as we begin the discussion for today. I wish you all a happy reading as I begin.
Previously we got to see a new form of fraudulent activity regarding the digital web3 ecosystem. This activities include the luring of users to sign transactions on their wallet in which their assets are taken away after the signing or the authorization of a message requesting to gain access into the wallet.
Another way is the act of imitating a web3 campaign project just to prey on web3 users and as such, they stand a chance to lose their funds in their wallet as they get to notice that the project is a scam in the end.
The truth is that, the web3 ecosystem is now stained with bad individuals who are just out here to scam people and steal their assets all in the name of rewarding them at the end of the project campaign.
And the method in which these culprits make use of in stealing investors assets is by defrauding them in setting up a wallet connection criteria so as to gain access to their wallets and the funds in them.
This is just to easy for the culprits because, the act of wallet connection has been a tradition and not just a tradition but one among many methods to get the reward in the end, ans that is after or before the launch of the project asset. So wallet connection is not a big deal but as it stands, it is now a way for some culprits to steal from innocent individuals via the wallet connection criteria.

Since wallet connection has been a normal phenomenon in web3 as we have to connect our wallet in other to benefit from the web3 project campaign, there are ways by which we can put to use in other to protect ourselves from cryptocurrency drainer. A few of these ways are discussed below.
I have constantly talk about the hardware wallet and how it is very safe to use as it is a cold wallet and does not require an authorized message from the internet, hence it is not easily accessible by web3 ecosystem especially when it come to granting wallet access to a web3 campaign project.
The hardware wallet is so good and convenient to make use of at this point in time because it is not automatically connected to the internet and with that, it is very rare and impossible for web3 platforms to send an access message requesting for you to give your consent by signing the mesaage sent to your wallet in other for it to be accessed by the website.
The issue of access granting is restricted since the hardware wallet is not linked to the internet automatically and with that, your digital assets are stored safely and the safety of your assets is guaranteed and free from internet attacks.
A whole lot of web3 enthusiasts do not take note of this point and it is very vital. Always make sure to confirm the authenticity of a source before downloading anything from there. This is what users do not pay attention to and little wonder why they get scammed because of negligence.
Make sure the web3 platform website that you are interacting with is such which is verified and official else you stand the chance of risking your portfolio. You need to be smart always even though losses are inevitable but it can be cut down to a minimal when the concept of risk and reward is being put in place.
Do not be too excited to connect to any web3 platform campaign just because it has promised provide incentives to users and those who are interacting with their project. It is very important to checkmate the project and if possible, the individuals behind the project as well as those who are in partner with the project.
For this will give you an assurance of the project and also an overview about the said project. Do not do away with the above points because you are not a victim, for these points will guide you to secure your wallet as though these points are coming from those who were victimized by the culprits of a scammed project.

Always do your own research about whatsoever project you wish to interact with. Do not allow people you do not know to convince you about a project for this may be a trap to scam you and get control of your wallet. Be vigilant and be smart.
