Hello steemians!

A solo Bitcoin miner has successfully added a block to the Bitcoin blockchain, earning a reward of 6.25 BTC and a fee reward of about 0.63 BTC, which is worth approximately $148,000. The miner used the Solo CK Pool mining service and represented only 0.002% of the entire Bitcoin network's computational power. A Twitter user remarked on the miner's luck, as it would typically take longer for a miner with such limited computing power to create a valid transaction.
The miner worked with an average hashing power of 6.7 PH/s, while Bitcoin's total hash rate was around 308,262 PH/s at the time. The miner's hash rate represented only a small fraction of the entire network's computational power. The miner claimed to be from Russia and usually used a computing power of around 270 TH/s, but rented an additional 5 PH/s worth of power from a service called nicehash for less than a day to achieve this feat.
Mining new Bitcoin is typically done through mining pools, where miners combine their computational power to increase their chances of solving the algorithm and creating a valid hash. However, it is still possible for individual miners to get lucky and create a valid hash on their own, despite the competition from other computers racing to solve the same algorithm.
BTC.com reports that the largest mining pool in the world currently is Foundry USA, which comprises around 34% of the total hashrate on Bitcoin's network over the past day. The pool has a hashrate of around 107 EH/s, which is approximately 15,970 times more powerful than the solo miner who achieved this success.
The block added by the solo miner contained 3,220 transactions worth approximately 16,940 BTC. The process of mining Bitcoin involves continuous calculations to discover a valid hash for the block, using a process similar to computational brute force
