CLUB 75 | #learnwithsteem : ACAI BOWL without Acaï at home - Let me show you our first ACAI Bowl that I created earlier today!

Greetings of the day everyone!

I hope you are all doing great and as usual it is with so much pleasure that I am here writing down this post where I will show you another easy to make recipe that you can make at home even if you don't have some of the products...we can always have replacements, isn't it!?

In line with the Steemit initiative #learnwithsteem, I am from time to time making recipe post to show everyone to make top quality foods easily at home...

ACAI BOWL...without ACAI!!!

On this side of the world, it is impossible to find Acaï...neither frozen ones nor dried ones!

Acaï has become such a craze in recent years when we started seeing Acaï bowls all over the internet and these days everyone love having it...

Originating from Brazil, Acaï Bowl is dessert commonly consumed all over the country and is a dish made with the frozen and mashed fruit of the açaí palm, which has berries described as having an "earthy" or creamy taste and also add other frozen fruits/veggies/nuts/cereals in the mash and as toppings...

A little like a thick smoothie...

So can we make Acaï bowl at home without Acaï!?

I am not distorting the traditional Acaï, but being a chef who loves progressive cuisine - I decided to create 6 different Acaï Bowl without Acaï by using products that can be found here and also in many countries around the world...

Needless to mention...all the 6 bowls will taste amazing and look wonderful...

ACAï BOWL 1 : KickStart!!!

Kickstart your day with this bowl where we have in mind the youngsters...with a touch of Dark Chocolate and sweetness of Agave!

What we have inside...

For the toppings :

  • Banana / Kiwi / Dark Chocolate / Frozen Strawberries / Dragon Fruit

For the mash...

We need a texture of smoothie but more thick...a thickness where our fruits will not sink in when putting in bowls!

So we will have to freeze all our fruits before hand...

Same fruits as the toppings and I just added some wild berries too + some Greek yogurt well strained!

While the Agave syrup will be used just before we eat the dish!

Place all the frozen fruits in a blender and place in the fridge to keep the temperature...

Once you are ready to serve the dish, blend everything well until a thick paste...

Add in little by little the yogurt until you get the thickness you wish...

Plating...

The part I love the most in the cooking world...

I started by placing the 'puree' in a coconut shell as you can see below and delicately add on the different ingredients!

Bowl ready...we just need to add some drops of Agave syrup and enjoy!!!

I am actually making/creating these Acaï Bowls in support to my niece who has a project to submit and present in June!

And she will represent/create/run a new business offering Acaï Bowls in Mauritius around eco/green theme!

There will be 5 more that I will make and share here on my blog. By next week I will have completed it for sure!

I made this recipe today and it came out amazing and the bowl look exactly like I was expecting!

First one done and normally the 2nd one will be done and documented on Saturday as tomorrow I won't be working at night - we will have a family dinner at my place!
