100 Years! More to go my beloved university campus!!
On the first day of July 1921, the University of Dhaka opened its doors to students and now it's 2020. Today is the 100 years birthday of my beloved university!
Aparajeyo Bangla - University of Dhaka
I'm blessed that I got the change to study here. Not just study those are some wonderful years I had. I meet so many wonderful people, so many friends and all. And especially the amazing huge campus. It's not just a campus, it's part of our history, culture, education, and everything. Nope, I'm not overstating. You can read more about the University of Dhaka, it's history and linkage with our nation Here.
I usually try to visit the University campus on different occasions and especially on its birthday. I even took leaves several times from my office to attend the birthday celebration. But this year is very different. We are staying home and there's no celebration as well. But we all are missing our university a lot!
So, today I'm sharing some of my old captures to show you how the campus looks like. I'm putting Wikipedia link to all of my captures so you can easily learn more about this. Also, you can learn about the history of every structure. I hope you will like to go through this!
Infront of the Library
I studied here from 2007-2013. It feels like just yesterday but the number is actually making me feel old! I wouldn't say I only studied here because I lived in the university hostel which is located in the middle of the campus, so I'm more comfortable to say I lived there. This campus, it's nature, the known faces, all the trees, university buildings, and everything feels so native; I can't explain it in words. It feels like we all had developed a good attachment with the campus.
I've shared many photos of this campus. You can see more Here, Here, Here and Here.
100 years is a huge number but maybe it's not for a university! This is one of the top-ranked universities in South East Asia. People used to call it the Oxford of the East. But unfortunately, the quality of education is falling down and the rank is also not high in these years. There is a long way to go and I hope that the University of Dhaka will achieve more success in the future.
THANKS FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!
Much Love
I'm a life & nature enthusiast, I love to learn human psychology, I'm a 'Book worm' and very introvert but also love to travel. I'm trying to live mindfully and most importantly, I'm a positive learner.
