What is that Special recipe peculiar to your country? It could be special drinks, desserts, or any other delicacy.

Nigeria my country is actually blessed with sweet and good meals from different region. As we all know the land is very fertile when it's comes to agriculture and food production so, there are different recipe which are very peculiar in my country. For the sake of this contest i will be Introducing one of the special recipe which is Nigeria native jellof rice.

Is there any history attached to it? Explain.

The Nigeria native jellof rice is a traditional meal which is known by the Efik people as (Wuk edesi or Palm oil rice) it was originated from the southern part of Nigeria. This dish is very delicious and is more like the normal Nigeria jellof rice but there is small difference between the two jellof rice. The Nigeria native jellof rice is cooked with Palm oil, and other local ingredients like the locus beans, ugu( pumpkin leaves) and more. Actually the Nigeria palm oil is one of the main and good cooking oil, because it is less processed and it's still retain the nutrients of the palm fruits and that red- Orange colour.

Native jellof rice is very versatile just like any other dish in Nigeria and it's being prepared with variety of proteins, also it is very nutritious and healthy for the body. Eating the food will make us stay strong and physically fit.

Do you think you can do without taking them for some time?

Of course i can do without it, because as i mentioned earlier we have different good and teasty meals in Nigeria, so without the native jellof rice others are there to fill in the gap. But i often prepare it because of the nutrients contained in it.

How is it prepared? Show us the steps required for its preparation or you can buy from a restaurant and promote the business.

Thank you very much sir, I really appreciate your comments 🙏

The issue of Nigerian and Ghanaian Jollof has been a battle for many years now. Nigeria claim to have the nicest jollof, but clearly Ghana conquered the jollof recipe. Your recipe really look nice and contains a lot of vegetables which is good for our health. Thanks for sharing.

🤣🤣🤣 ok sir, I don't want us to start our own fight about jellof rice.

Nigerian native jeloff first of all looks good and secondly very easy to cook. But what caught my attention first is the red oil. I love meals cooked with red oil so much. So I'm sure your jeloff will be to my liking

Good luck with the contest 😊
