The Diary Game 1st June, 2022- | A visit to UPTH.

Hello Steemians, I trust everyone is doing great. I haven't been able to keep up with the diary due to slight health issues. I have been visiting the hospital since this week for a check-up and I will share my day with you in this post.

This morning, I woke up around 6 am and said my morning prayers as usual. After then, I did a little home workout before dressing up to visit the hospital. You might be wondering how a sick person is still working out😆. Well, it's not that bad and I believe exercise is still part of the recovery process. Well, after the workout I logged in on Steemit to check what was going on and also the activities with my team members. I already knew I won't be active for the whole day because of the appointment at the hospital.

I left home around 8 a.m. for a scheduled meeting with the doctor. The hospital is UPTH which means University of Portharcourt Teaching Hospital Choba. The hospital is a federal government establishment here in Rivers state. Well, this is my first time going to the hospital for health-related issues.

I spent about 2 hours waiting for the doctor after I arrived at the hospital. I met the doctor and we had some discussions and ran some tests before I went back home. The protocols of government establishments aren't accommodating and the staff ain't being friendly. Well, I got home very hungry and tired.

I bought this meal on my back from the hospital. This is roasted plantain and fish which the native name here in Nigeria is Bole. After eating, I slept off till 9 pm. I woke up very weak and tired and the weather also wasn't favourable. I managed to log in to Steemit for engagement and also check my emails before going to bed.

This is my diary and I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Well the food got me tripping, this kind of roasted plantain that looks like porridge gonna be one interesting meal I can bet!!

It's really sad the way government workers work in government esblishment especially in the hospital where it's mostly a life or death situation. The workers are rude and just don't care because month end they will surely get their salary. One time I went to the hospital with my daughter around 2pm and you won't believe these people told me they are closed for the day!!!! I was there with a daughter running fever and they didn't care but continued with their gist. I felt really bad and told myself nothing will take me back to that place. I pray and hope the government system gets better in this nation.

How is your health now? I hope you getting better and it's nothing serious? I wish quick recovery.

Its really pathetic the experiences at government established firms, but we will always hope for a better system where everyone will be happy to do their job.

Thank you so much for your concern. I'm much better now. I have started treatment and will be fine soonest.

It's good to hear the good news about your health. Get well soon.

All we can hope and pray for is a better nation.

Hello friend, certainly visits to the hospital are not usually pleasant, we almost always have to wait a long time for the doctor, in addition to the protocols to follow.
It's amazing that you still do exercises lol. I hope your health improves soon.

Nice diary, sorry about the health challenges you are facing you will be fine I'm grateful you meet a doctor early and it will be rectified after the test results is out and then and the drugs will be administered to tackle it. Sorry about the way you were treated at the hospital by the health workers, imperfection always cause this at times health workers are the nice set of people one could relate with, some of them endures their own health issues and make sure their patients is fine. I can recall assisting in labor room yesterday when I was having severe headache and stomach ache but to save a life, I took out my mind from my present condition and it works very well the baby and the mother were saved, they are doing very fine today.

Thank you for sharing your dairy with us, do not hesitate to go back for your check up, they will be nice to you next time. 🤗😍

Thank you for your concern. I'm stronger today and will probably finish up with my treatment.
