What do you understand by the word Quit?

The word quit in my opinion is the act of given up on something you have been working to achieve or something you think it's impossible to achieve. This means that if you have a target and at some point you think it's impossible to achieve it you will decide to back out.

So quiting is backing out from anything you have been trying to achieve. When you give up it means you have quit. Anytime you conclude that you are not going to push further to achieve anything you desire it means you have quit.

A lot of people today quit for so many reasons among which may include frustration and lack of the finance or other particulars to chase the goal or target till the end.

Have you ever being at the verge of quiting/giving up before? What were the challenges?

Yes, I have been at the verge of giving up before. As a student then in the university, I was faced with lots of challenges such as school fees payment, feeding, studies etc. At some point, I wanted quiting my studies because there was no help from anywhere.

After my lectures, I go out to do minial jobs to feed myself and buy a few necessary things needed to keep the studies and education going. So it was a major challenge to me and at some point I feel I couldn't do it alone I needed help and no help was coming forth.

So that challenge was a strong one and I almost quit but thanks be to God after all the ups and down I was able to still push ahead. So that is my challenge.

How did you overcome the challenges, (practical steps would be much appreciated) and how did you feel afterward.

The challenge was indeed a big one and overcoming it wasn't an easy task. What I did was simply to meet those who are ahead of me to advice me and encourage me because I was already losing hope.

I was so happy when all those I met talked to me in a positive manner and they all offered to assist the little way they can to ensure that I continue the movement. Most of them have me gifts of food, money and even clothes.

Seeing such love and care made me to push ahead and that is what got me to where I'm today. I may have nothing to show up for at the moment but atleast I have a degree qualification which I believe anytime soon a job will come knocking.

What's your advice for those in your shoes?

My advice to anyone in my shoes reading this post at the moment is that he or she should not give up instead they should continue to push ahead. I know that the journey is not rosy but I believe it is possible so let them keep going.

Just like me if they feel the need to quit, they should look for those higher then themselves and then explain to them how they feel and I believe they will get a good advice of pushing ahead till the end.

A lot of people are out their willing and ready to help you achieve your aim so walk up to them and then share your challenges and ask them to guide you and direct you towards success and I believe they will do it.
