Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 2||My Dream About Steemit in my Country || burnsteem25

Hello fellow steemian, I am here to contribute to the ongoing contest in the steem4nigeria community, this is my second entry to the engagement contest and I am happy to drop a piece to this community about my concern for the growth of steemit in my community and Nigeria as a whole, sit back and relax as you read my publication before I proceed I will like to invite @lhorgic @simonnwigwe @kawsar @yakspeace @goodybest to participate in this contest

How well is Steemit known in your Country? Do you think it's popular enough or there is a need for more publicity?

I live in a country named Nigeria, Africa, it is the most populated country out of the 58 countries in Africa, as of June 28, 2020, the population of Nigeria is more than 216 million people in the country whereby over 33.5 million are youth.

The reason for the emphasis on youth is that only youth believes in blockchain and cryptocurrency, out of the 16.8% of youth in Nigeria, 1% of youth are not registered on the steemit platform, judging from the statistics, it is ideal to say that Steemit is not popular in my country.

3.3 million(which is just 1%) Nigerian steemians cannot be found on Steemit, so therefore, steemit is not popular enough hence there is a need for optimum promotion to the publicity of Nigeria

What are the ways you think the promotion of Steemit can be more effective in your Country? This can include special projects you have in mind.

Promoting Steemit can be effective in my country in many ways, most of them are already been carried out by Steemit promoters of which I am a part,

MEDIA:-

Promoting Steemit through media will bring a big effect positively to the platform, through this we can create awareness of the platform with other medias like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, YouTube, Instagram, radio stations, and tv stations. We can make use of Twitter space, Instagram live, Facebook ads, and YouTube videos in promoting steemit.

The work of promoting Steemit through radio stations has been done by focusnow, ngoenyi and many more, people are much aware of this media as such we can use that as an advantage to promote Steemit to reach more people from a wider range of different locations in Nigeria.

REFERRAL BONUS:-

This is a common strategy that will enhance the effectiveness of promoting Steemit in my country, how, if there is a certain reward(maybe liquid Steem or steempower or Tron) guaranteed for promoters and recruits when onboard, the rate of promotion will be massive, and as such several users will turn promoters which will see to the increment in the number of recruits in the platform because there are rewards for successful recruitments.

SIGN BOARD or POST/BILLBOARD:-

Nigerians will agree with me on the need to use signpost or billboards to promote Steemit, it is a popular way of promotion, we can make sign board or post stand on every popular bus stop in our environment, and Billboard can be placed in a very populated place like market square and across bridges.

This will also help in the popularity of Steemit in the country and as such, we begin to see new users as a result of this particular promotion. Schools, churches, and mosques use this method to create awareness in the society, if this can work for places like this how much more a place where they can make a living out of it.

There are other ways like printing flyers, printing shirts with steemit logo, distribution of stationaries with steemit logos to students, face-to-face promotion, promoting through charity, the printing of banners, and many other ways

Do you think Steemit would be adopted more in your country if the points you listed above are implemented?

All of the highlighted strategies have been used in promoting steemit except billboards and signposts, the likes of promoting with printing flyers and banners, steemit brand shirts, radio promotion, and social media promotion as yield good results when implemented.

I am confident that these views of mine if implemented, will not only promote steemit but will also promote Steem, Tron token, and as such it will spike up the value of Steem as people adopt steem through steemit or better still invest in it, the awareness of steemit in my country will be surprising to the Steemit team if implemented, every member of Nigerian steemian will turn promoter and promote steemit in their various states, Nigeria has 36 states, one person is enough to pass the message across all local government in his or her state which I know is possible if the reward is mouth-watering, Nigerians will make it happen, don’t underestimate Nigerians🤣 we are one of a kind.

Do you think Steemit would be adopted more in your country if the points you listed above are implemented?

When I promote steemit, I come clean with people, I don’t want a case whereby several accounts will be dormant, I make people realize how stressful the platforms his, I won't tell steemit is all about “you write and you earn”, to me it beyond that, there is more to it than that, you need dedication, perseverance, consistency, patience, time and many more.

The reason for so many dormant accounts is because of improper promotion, they promise them what they can't give, I promote steemit in a frank way, and as such, I have not been able to recruit but I have promoted the platform beyond my environment, in Nigeria, people want fast money, small work big money, it only happens in movies, in reality, the latter you know that for you to earn you have to work, the better it is for you.

I have not successfully contributed to the growth and development of Steemit in my environment but I believe with more continuous promotion, I will onboard those determined Nigerians that want to work and earn gradually and not the ones that will come and go in 1 or 2 months.
