StayFit Club: Highlights of My fitness activities for the Week Ending 5th May, 2024. Abs (abdominal ) training

Hello dear friends, welcome to my fitness update. It is another week with interesting fitness programs. This past week, we focused on abs, which is abdominal strength. As usual, I was able to announce to our group that we are going to build the muscles in our abdomen.

Our abdomen contains 4 muscles which include rectus abdomen , the transvasus abdominis, internal oblique and external oblique. Strengthening these muscles help us to have good posture, balance, stability and respiratory functions like breathing.

There are a whole lot of exercises that helps to strengthen the abdominal muscles. They include but not limited to the following

Crunch.
Bicycles.
Roll Up.
Plank Toe Touch.
Standing Side Crunch.
Standing March Knee Tap.
Planks.

And others. During this past week, we were able to carry out most of these programs and even more. Some of the pictures include the following and the days they were taken

Monday training

We picked some of these programs that target the abs that day. But first, we stretched before carrying out the programs proper. The pictures are here below

Wednesday training

We continued with other programs that strengthens these abdominal muscles.

That same day, I announced that I will be unavoidably absent on Saturday and Thus, we will be concluding our programs for the week on Friday.

Friday training

Thus, on Friday, I combined aerobics with stomach exercises to conclude the week. We also had some of our corp members who had travelled for the vacation return as the school resumes.bthus, we had full house. I couldn't capture anything we did because aerobics requires that we flow with the music and non stop.

In the end, we enjoyed the peanut that one of those members that returned brought for us

We then met with one of the management member of that facility we are using for introduction as that was the first time he is entering the facility since we began our workout there. One of my clients know the man and so he decided to introduce me to him. He was so happy with what we are doing and promised that he will try and hold meetings with us along with the general manager of that place wlto see how they can partner with us.

He told us some of the plans they have in mind for the facility including adding a swimming pool and lodging facilities in that place. They will also buy some gym equipments so that we can have more things to use. It was so good to the ears. We look forward to them.

We had meetings amongst selected members of my group called project group so that we can be able to care our purchases of some equipments for our personal usei including the dumbbells. I was asked to make enquiries concerning the prices of different sizes.

So far, I have been able to communicate the prices to them and we decided to buy 3kg,4kg and 5kg dumbbells respectively for this month of May. The vendors sent me these pictures below as well as the prices which I forwarded to our ad-hoc group for deliberations

I am hopeful that we will get these dumbbells soon.

The next in line is our branded t-shirts. As a group, we will like to have t-shirts with our names and the name of the club on it. I have also made contacts. The price and the quality has been communicated. We are still deliberating on it.

The t-shirt will be paid for by all members wishing to have it. Whereas the dumbbells will be sponsored by the ad-hoc committee members.

In conclusion, that was how we concluded that week. The new week will come with a new program and will target another region of the body. I will let you know after I decide on that as the coach. Stay tuned till my next update!
