StayFit Club: Summary of My fitness activities for the Week Ending 23rd March, 2024

It is no longer news that I am a fitness freak turned fitness trainer. In my post here 9days ago, I told us that I am gradually becoming a fitness trainer without realising it. It has become a reality as we convened a meeting the first time and we chose our exco members who have been very committed to their duties.

We agreed to fully start paying subscription fees from April. And I also told them the days we will be having training. 4 days in a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays by 6:30am each day.

We started with the members present most of whom requested that I should add them to my fitness group.

Hence, we started our training this past Monday and ran through as scheduled. I am going to share how it all went and the programs I focused on for this week.

Monday Training

We there 3 corp members who are teaching in a nearby school who are joining us to workout. These ones want to be early, finish early and go to get ready for school. So, to help them, I decided to fix 6am training for them. So, I announced that in the group and they responded that Monday.

The training was for the whole body but especially the arms. So I drilled them using different programs like press-up (both half and full), plank (both half and full), weight lifts, squat with weight, among others. They really felt drilled. Others joined as they come. We trained from that 6am till 8am. Those corp members went once their time was up. Wednesday training

I made it known to everyone that the training for Wednesday will focus on squats. I first of all educated them on the benefits of squats both for men and women. This is because some men believe that squats are only for women who wants to increase their Butocks. But research shows that squats are good both for men and women.

The training began by 6:30am even though I can early. The corp members said that they had early morning classes and as such, they won't be able to meet up if they come for the training. So, I trained the regular members on different types of squats including the jump squats, the jack squats, the one step forward, sideways and backwards, squats with weighs among others. The pictures below speaks volumes

We dismissed by 8am as well. We all felt the impacts. It was a wonderful program and everyone was satisfied with it.

Friday training

The training focused on abs which is a program that trims the tummy. So, I gave out different programs that helps with that including setups with weighs, planks of different forms among others. I personally recorded the videos but I just uploaded the screenshots from those videos below

It ended in praise. We also felt the pains. I personally didn't join in all the programs. I only gave out the demos for all and then watched them carry them out because I wasn't feeling too well. We dismissed by 8am too

Then we reminded ourselves of a special outdoor event we needed to attend the next day which was Saturday.

Taking them out for the first time to an outdoor program will be worth it as they will have the opportunity to see others both coaches and trainees and thus be motivated. We arranged on how we were going to go. Some members who were not going to have the chance to go with us sponsored our movement with some cash donations. We were going to take off by 6am that day because the event will be by 6:30 am. The announcement of the program by the organisers was posted on social media status where we got the information from.

Saturday special outdoor program tilted: Uyo Step board Festival

We came out to the agreed meetup venue by 6:33am before taking off. We were 7 in number and we took some selfies

We were just in time. The stage was set for the program to begin. The music was on and other attendees were coming in in numbers. We took our position on the second and third rolls were we saw vacant positions

It was the health and fitness community that hosted this program, a fitness group that is managed by King Charles who is the coach. He welcomed us with open arms. I know the coach already because he had been invited as one of the coaches in my former gym to train us.

Soon, the program began. I had to take my device and anything at all that would disturb me out of sight to a safe place in front to be able to concentrate.

Different coaches took their turns including coach Wills, coach Oracle, coach King Charles, coach Essan among others. It was great. We experienced different programs from them. It was all in sequence. Anyone who is tired goes out while those at the back who still have the strength and energy to continue filled in the spaces. I finally found myself in the front roll. Trust me, I gat the energy. I didn't quit for ones and those who came with me endured with me until the end.

It was a blast. I felt it real good. We took pictures with the organiser and my former coach as well as with those I came with

Conclusion

That's all that I did this past week. I was able to stay fit as you have seen. How about you? What's your plan about staying fit. The truth is that, it is good to keep fit. Try to join any group because you will be encouraged. I never knew that I will become a fitness trainer one day. I only started because of my health and today, I can even train others. I love it!

This coming week is going to be a wonderful one with different programs from me. Keep on the lookout for my update at the end of that week.

Thank you. The thing is that, time is always an issue. But you can overcome it with determination. If you have a life threatening problem that warrants your being in the hospital, will the time not come out? Well, fitness is what we need as we are growing old day by day. I feel you can make out the time. Just make up your mind

Oh my word!
It feels like just the other day that you started with your training. I can still remember how the knee was giving you problems, and I told you to take it easy.
Well, here you are, now a fitness boffin! Well done, my friend!
You are for sure showing plenty of us a thing or two.
I applaud you! 🤛

I really wish I love exercising like you and actually do it like you but my lazy sef can't try more than 5 times. Good job mama, keep keeping fit
