I just learn one new word today “ob portum veniens”. opportunity is indeed like wind, when it is blowing and it passes, the same wind can never reverse again. If someone missed an opportunity, the same opportunity can not come back again.

I agree with you, the statement is not assumed but fact, the opportunity is like a time, when it comes, make good use of it, but when it passes, it hardly comes back again, so always be ready at all points. The statement is not misleading if we understand the importance. ( I tend to reconsider it on this point again, on which cost those that opportunity comes? Those the cost you are paying worth the opportunity at hand? Is it not misleading if a lady agrees to sleep with a lecturer just to pass her exams? To me, I think considering the effect and reputation of the price we pay to secure an opportunity is also a point to be considered. it's not all about the opportunity but on which base it comes?
