introductiom
Hello friends I am so pleased to be able to participate in this lovely engagement challenge contest and I will be happy to say some few things about my country Nigeria.
Open a brief introduction that tells us about your Country.
Nigeria is my country, it is located in West Africa with a coast on the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean. The neighboring countries include Benin, Cameroon, Chad, and Niger. The geography ranges from southern coastal swamps to tropical forests, grasslands, woodlands, and semi-desert in the north. The government system of Nigeria is a federal republic; the head of government and the chief of state is the president. Nigeria is comprises of a mixed economic system which are a variety of private freedom, combined with centralized economic planning and government regulation.
Nigeria has a flag and the colors if the flag are green White green.
Each color of the flag represent something which are
The two green stripes stands for natural wealth, and the white stands for peace and unity.
The Head Of State And Government is President: Muhammadu Buhari and the capital of Nigeria is ABUJA. The official language of Nigeria is known as English language though there are various languageels in each if the state.
The Nigeria national capital is Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory, and it was created by decree in 1976. Lagos, which was the former capital, it retains its standing as the country’s leading commercial and industrial city.
Nigeria my country became independent in the year 1, 1969 and in the year 1963 it adopted a republican constitution but it was elected to stay a member of the commonwealth.
Nigeria is consist of three major ethnic groups which are:
- the Hausa-Fulani
- the Yoruba
- the Igbo
Nigeria has different types of languages:
The languages of Nigeria are group into three broad linguistic groups: which are:.
- Niger-Congo
- Nilo-Saharan
- Afro-Asiatic
The Niger-Congo group is further subdivided into nine important branches. Which are:
- The Kwa subgroup which was spoken in the extreme southwestern corner of the country;
- The Ijoid branch, which was also spoken in the Niger Delta region;
*the Atlantic subgroup, which most noticeable includes Fula;
the extensive Benue-Congo subgroup, which includes Tiv, Edo, Igbo, Igala, Jukun, Idoma, Nupe, Gwari, Yoruba, and so many other languages of the Cross River basin such as Efik, Ibibio, Anang, and Ekoi;
Economy of Nigeria
The Nigerian economy is one of the biggest in Africa. It has been based primarily on the petroleum industry since the late 1960s. A series of world oil price increases in the year 1973 which produced a rapid economic growth in transportation, construction, manufacturing, and government services. Because this led to a great inflow of rural people into the larger urban centres.
What are the great things that interest you about your country?
Nigeria is respected as the best populous black nation and one of power houses of Africa yet so many of its citizens are not proud to be associated with her. Nigeria just celebrated 61 years of independence, yet some of her citizens do not see any reason to celebrate.
There are so many reasons why Nigeria has become the love of millions of people all over the world especially her citizens. From our tremendous lifestyle to our sense of humour, stupendous destinations to our foods, we are indeed a blessed country of exceptional variety. Nigeria may not be a ideal country, of course; there is no perfect country in the world and this is why we feel force to stand up for the nation of our birth
No matter the current state of Nigeria there are so many great things that interest me about my country Nigeria and here are some of the reasons.
One of the great things about Nigeria is that isa land of invention and inventors. The Nigeria has produced great and wonderful inventors over the years such as Jelani Aliyu who is said to have been involved in designing Chevrolet for General Motors and Ndubuisi Ekekwe who created microchips used in surgical robots. Nigeria is very rich when it comes to natural resources. We have at least 400 natural resources in this country according to a 2003 survey
Nigerians are very adjustable. We know how to survive in any condition or environment we found ourselves in. This has helped shoulder the entrepreneurial drive of many Nigerians over the years.
Nigeria has a prosperous tech scene. The growth of several beginners in Yaba, Lagos (known as Yabacon) is tribute to this. The tech scene has captivate a global power player like Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook and the attention of industry giant Google. The tech scene in Nigeria is speculate to grow immensely within the next few years.
Nigeria is very rich when comes to arts and culture. The country has so many famous painters and sculptors. not long ago there has been an interest in Nigerian culture from global pop culture celebrities such as Beyonce. Nigeria so rich in culture and arts.
notwithstanding all the innumerable challenges and problems we are facing, Nigeria still remains one separated country bound by hope that things will become better.
We are one exceptional strain of humans on planet earth. Even when we are very hard-working yet, we do not useless money when it comes to luxury and the beautiful things of life. Before you can say anything, the latest gadget in the world is previously in Nigeria. We love life and this is why our weekends are always filled with parties and excitement.
far off Nollywood, Nigeria has put together top international actors in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Some of these actors are Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje, Uzo Aduba, Nonso Anozie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Yvonne Orji, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, David Oyelowo and others.
Nigerians are irrepressible and positive. No matter how worst things get, Nigerians will keep moving on and be having hope for a better day. The average Nigerian will keep on going through tough times.
According to CNN Global Experiences, Nigeria top as the 5th sexiest accent in the world.
Nigerians are understand to have a very outstanding sense of humour.
Which of the things mentioned above do you prefer your country for, over other countries?
Among all the great things I mentioned about Nigeria is their optimistic spirit and entrepreneurial spirit. Nigerians are still among the most positive and the most happiest people on the planet.
We don't wait for Opportunity to come knocking we go for it, with God help, who is always on our sides.
Evidence of our positive spirit lies in God: or our hustling entrepreneurial spirit , or the disintegrate roadside shacks grandly named "Victory Plaza." There's no room for hopelessness when we see ourselves as for the time being embarrassed millionaires.
No Place like home: If you eventually leave your country in search of greener pastures, would you be willing to come back because of your response in (3).
Firstly I will love to define a home so as to know if is safe to come back after you must have left
A home is the general way to the house. Country or town where we lives or a place we were born. So Nigeria is my home.
No matter how countless years i must have gotten familiar to the lifestyle of another country; there is no home like Nigeria. Nothing has been able to take the place of that homesick and longing that comes when we stay away from the country for a long time. The attractiveness and comfort we get when we are with our loved ones cannot be acquire with material wealth
If there is one thing that stands out Nigerians anywhere in the world, it is their sense of cooperative spirit. We are quick to welcome other Nigerians as brothers and sisters once we notice that they come from Nigeria, we are always at home with them. We love the family lifestyle and it has become our trademark.
conclusion
I love my country Nigeria so dearly and i am very proud to be a Nigerian.
The never give up spirit live make me like my country Nigeria, My heart is always full of love for my country.
