Hello, it is another beautiful moment as I warmly welcome you all here. For both the writer and reader, we are at least alive, which is what mayters most. I am here today to make some freestyle writing about the present challenges in my country. I may be talking about the pressing matters that have taken the front stage in our present lives.

Being a Nigeria is a difficult one these days. My first flash point on this was the burning headlines by a New York Times, which stated claearly on the present woes of the nigeria state and its citizens. An anlaysis that talked about how "Nigerian citizens are now entrepreneurs who are skilled in managing tough times."

Indeed, this represents us in totality no matter how best the federal government wants to refute this. This is the simple truth, and we acknowledge the fact that the international community now sees how suffocating it is becoming. The greatest mistake anyone would ever make is telling lies to oneself. The government has continued to cover up this anomalies, but just like a pregnancy, it can no longer be hidden.

The present economic situation is alarming, and the government government seems docile to this growing moster. Headline inflation is now over 33% with nothing to stem these tides. The prices of food are already hitting the roofs unabaited. The question, for how long do we continue in this line? Who did we offend in our country? A country blessed with diverse mineral and solid resources but have over 90 million of its population living in poverty.

Did I mention that the currency is at its low now? Yes, very low... A vutremcy that was measuring with the USD at 1USD to 450 Naira 12 months ago is presenting exchanging for 1590 naira now. You could have a breakout purchases when you have a pirces of the 1000 naira notes with you in the market. We have more currency chasing few commodities this time. Some school of thought said the currency was devalued.

I went to market to buy fresh tomatoes for stew, but I came back disappointedly not buying any. A small painter of tomatoes that ordinarily goes for 3,000 Naira max sometime 12 months ago is now sold for 12,000 to 16,000 Naira. I could get this as I hadn't enough money to buy the anticpated half of that. I have to improvise and buy palm kernel seedlings for local stew delicay instead. It is really worrisome as no one knows how low we are heading but surely for low.

This is the same for all other food items. Their prices are all hanging in the roofs. None is really affordable at the moment. There is only one thing we have to be sure that would go high with this economic turbulence, that is, insecurty and criminality. People need to survive, people need to hopeful of every minute that passes by. Of course, the rate of pickpockets and traffic thefts is on the increase. Peoples mobile.phones are snatched, bank apps tampered with, and so on.

My biggest fear is that, there is no solution in view. Who knows what tomorrow holds for us. This is my plight... stay connected.

Greetings dear friend, Nigerians are suffering and the economic is getting worst by the day. Items and food stuff in the market are very expensive to afford and it is troublesome, my family recently organized an occasion for many people to attend and I must say we really spent a lot on food stuff and items alone. Your post has simply described what many Nigerians including me is going through and I wish all Nigerians the best.
