INTRODUCTION

Greetings from Nigeria to all the steemians all over the globe. It's such a great idea to have this kind of joint contest. I sincerely appreciate the admins of @steemmensclub and @steemwomensclub for coming together to organize this contest. It is a pleasure to make an entry post for this contest.

REGISTERING A NEW USER ON STEEMIT

Registering a person on steemit requires basically their preferred username, phone number and email address. Codes will be sent to the number and email in order to verify the person. After which the master password is given and with this, other keys can be generated.

CONVINCING STEEMIT PROSPECTS

Registering a person on steemit is quite easy. Getting the person to sign up is the big challenge. It has not been an easy task to convince a person to join steemit. Some get skeptical,others simply doubt its efficacy and realness ,some are just scared . All due to their past experiences with failed cryptos and online businesses. And Some would simply say "I don't know how to do content writing".

It can really be challenging getting a person signed up on steemit.

In spite of these, I don't give up sharing the goodness of steemit to virtually every one around me, every place I go, in the
neighborhood, church, grocery stores, campus, hostel, events, business centers etc

I signed up four persons within a short course of time.
I usually engagein one-on-one conversations , via online for those far away, and face-to-face for those around.

That was what worked for me ,and still works. I explained the social engagements, learning opportunities, monetary benefits and resultant financial independence Steemit offers to its users. And I told each ,the fact that, you can learn and improve in writing skills is a plus ,even if you're amateur at writing.

This answers to those who said they couldn't do content writing,their fears were calmed.

I buttressed that there is a mentorship program called ACHIEVEMENT TASKS (1-6) As they do the tasks,it teaches and help them understand how the steemit platform works,how to improve in writing skills. Different communities are available based on their interests and passion, for them to explore and learn from as well. They don't have to fidget about what and how to write.

I went further to show them samples of posts including the upvotes on them, such as diary, contest posts, crypto academy program, creative posts etc they can write .

I also explained the cool earning potential,how it is paid out ,and how to withdraw and essence of growing the steempower as well.

I made them understand that, in Steemit,
consistency in posting and engagement with others is key to attain growth.

REGISTERING FAMILY AND FRIENDS ON STEEMIT

I was able to guide each of them to set up their page ,write their Achievement 1 and begin making other posts in steemit.

WHAT I KNOW ABOUT STEEMIT

I understand that steemit is a social blockchain that rewards its users for posting quality and original contents on the platform. It pays users in the crypto currency steem and steem dollar (SBD). An additional reward of equivalent trons is given since Tron has been integrated into steemit.

Steemit encourages social engagements, quality and original contents with zero tolerance for plagiarism and also encourages steem power up.
