SECS 8 Week 6: How do I want to grow old?
Health has always been the priority of everyone who wishes to be in good health. I'm @justiceanietie and i believe that we all are doing great.
Today i wish to discuss the topic "how do i want to grow old" as i invite @josepha and @ruthjoe to this great contest.
The age of becoming an adult is @18th years here in Nigeria and this differs from one country to another.
Talking about how one want to grow old is a thing of self decisions that you have to make for yourself. This decisions can affect you in a positive or negative way. However, let us go into the talk of the day.
1- How do you want to age: healthy and energetic or limited and dependent on medication?
Everyone would wish to be healthy and energetic at old age. For me i want to be very healthy at old age. When one is limited and dependent on medication, that person will die because of pains.
2- What are you doing to reach the old age you long for?
Below are what i do to reach old age:
• Exercise
• Eating fresh fruits and vegetable
• Restrict the eating of meat
• Have some rest
Exercise is for fitness and it contributes 15% to our healthy living. I always carry out my exercise daily and this has made me to be fit and stay health.
I have derived more benefits just exercising my body in the morning and at evening periods. It has been long i took paracetamol tablet for over 10 years now, i have not fallen sick and I've not taking any drugs.
If you look at the picture above, you will see that sweat was coming out of my body and this helps to remove all kind of sickness out of my body. This is how i stay fit all year long without taking medications.
Exercise equally helps to allow the free flow of blood from your heart to other parts of the body and helps to keep one out of becoming a stroke patient. Note; this is caused when the artery is blocked and blood is no longer passing through, that is where stroke occurs! But just exercising your body can safe you the stress of having stroke.
Exercise is always carried out in the morning. This should be around 5:am to 8:am in the morning and 4:pm to 6:pm. This is the recommended time to do your exercise but anything out side this time frame, it's regarded as stress. We do this daily to keep fits and its now part of my lifestyle.
I will treat this together inline with what i have listed above.
Eating fresh fruits and vegetables contributes 30% to our healthy living. This make us to look fresh and have the necessary nutrients needed to grow to old age.
If you want to grow old, once 26th of age, you shouldn't eat too much of meat but rather you should be eating fish. This is recommended for adult.
I also eat a lot of whole greens and nuts like local rice, soya beans, coconut, groundnut, tiger nut etc. This helps in contributing 50% to our healthy living.
I always sleep for an hour at noon.
3- Are you afraid of growing old, yes or no? Justify your answer.
My answer to the above question is No. this is because growing old is a blessing from God and nobody want to die young. When you grow old, you would see how life is at old age and your grand children and young people will come around you for advise.
4- Do you have any experience to share with us about an older adult who is an example for you to follow?
When i was still a kid, i used to see how my mummy would wake up in the morning and go for a bicycle ride. One day some one came very early in the morning to call her for a ride and i began to wonder where they want to go? When she came back, i had to ask her and her reply was: "I went to keep myself fits".
I noticed that she had been doing this daily and its now part of her lifestyle. As i talk to you now, since then, she doesn't sick nor take any medication. One day as we were discussing, she told me that since she was born, she had never slept in the hospital for medication all because of the experience of exercise. Base on this, i have made it mandatory to do my exercise daily and at the right time as spelt out above. Note; any exercise out of the time ranged, its seen as stress to the body.
In conclusion, exercise makes one fits and help you to remain in good health as you eat the right food and grow old.

Well detail post, exercise is the road to good health, allot of people might not know this. Staying out of red meat is good at some certain age, if cook red meat is because of my kids.
This your food is just entering my eyes any how. I can see you love good thing's early morning drip is what I call this coconut water. Best wishes
