Again & Again - Stigmata
Stigma (pl. Stigmas/stigmata): a set of negative and unfair beliefs that a society or group of people have about something

I thought long and deep about a film I could watch more than once (asked at least three times). Well, if it comes to that I watched most films I like (own) more than once, even more than ten times if not twenty. What I like, what makes me laugh or what I find fascinating is not always the film I would watch any minute. For each film (or series) there should be a certain mood, or it has to give me a good mood or make me think. In my family, we are used to watching films and always discussing them. Not only the storyline but also the way it is filmed, the music and we always watch it till the end. We wait till the screen goes black.
Most cartoons I saw not just 20 times but at least 100 which isn't difficult with children, a videoplayer-recorder and DVD player. All my children have by now a large videotape and even though we visit the cinema (it is a completely different experience) and watch online we still buy films we like on DVD (and indeed I still have many videotapes which I can play).
My favourite animation is Disney's The Emperor's New Groove. I can't help laughing about that strange duo Yzma and Cronk. To me, Yzma is the perfect example of self-esteem which shows if she changes into a kitten and says...
The film I could always see is Stigmata. To me, it isn't a horror but something I consider possible plus there is history I am interested in involved (always good for overthinking and considering). What strikes me most in this film is the cruel behaviour of the Catholic Church (again). To them, it's clear that only a great catholic can receive the stigmas Jesus had. It's Catholics above all and the way it is filmed makes it (again) clear that the Vatican loves to control the world.
We've had the witch hunt and what we watch in this film is the next crime, one out of many. It's as if the Vatican is the home of hitmen.
They are not satisfied with the result of their investigator (Father Andrew a kind man), and order him to take the panicking, hurt American girl (indeed it always happens in the USA including Armageddon) to the Vatican (Rome - Italy).
What happens next is not surprising. As a watcher I already feel the change of atmosphere once inside the Vatican. Not for one second I trust those 'helpers' in need.
The message the hairdresser wrote on the wall is translated and is considered a threat to the church's existence and power (each church). If this 'news' is published and gets out to the world religion as an institution is finished.
The message is no surprise to me. I felt relieved others, even if it is the (script)writer only, seem to think (question) the same as I do.

I love horror movies but because of my kids, I have abandoned it. But I love comedies like Friends and baby daddy. A series I will love to watch over and over again is The Originals and yes maybe Titanic to see if I will cry again or just maybe I am too grown to fall for the movie. Will see
Titanic didn't impress me. I was nit the first to watch it but did years later. It was okay but I wouldn't watch it again. I like cartoons (WE Coyote, all the Looney Tunes characters way more, Angry birds is great too and Shrek 😍.
My children always looked thrillers and horror with me just my son not always. He's more into time travelling.
Friends we watched too, mainly my eldest liked it, I go for one character only.
The X-men and X-files are great series too. My son started watching the X-files again it's interesting to how some files are based on scientific theories.
Mr Monk (detective) is a great series too. Ever watched it?
Thanks for sharing what you like to watch. Before you know your children are older and watch with you (or you watch when everyone is out).
👋🍀❤️
Yes I watched Titanic when I was much younger, that's why I need to watch it again to see if it will have the same effect on me. Who was your favourite character from the Friends series?😁. Oh yes I love X-Men but I haven't settled down to watch a little here and a little there. Mr Monk, I am not too sure if I have seen it . I watched the old X files, I was younger then too, loved it. So there is a time traveller lover in the house too, no wonder it has effect on your writing
Joey Tribbiani of course 😍
I have a DVD with a few episodes of his series as well. Without the rest it is as great if not better.
Here is Adrian Monk!
I saw that movie, I was much younger. It got me questioning myself cos I was always washing my hands and didn't like anyone to touch me😆, later in life I just realized hugs could change a lot
What about the film made you question or is it religion/the behaviour crossing boundaries?
I was making sure I was alright and not like him, I had issues with people getting close to me and I washed my hands too frequently. Well after analysing it, I realized I was ok, he was the one with issues🤣
It's normal to wash your hands, clothes, shower under those circumstances. I dived away too as people tried to touch me. I still keep distance and it depends on the person who I touch/let touch me or send a hug. I noticed it's the same gor my children so might be it's partly character as well.
I want to let you know here about your comment on tje watch steem... Here are mainly curators sc01 too so please take this matter of AI serious.
The one who wrote the post was angry as one of the commenters laughed (although it was because of what patjewell wrote). See if you can edit it a bit. Indon't want this boomerang back on you.

Hello friend you are doing well, watch movie at home with friends and family has a completely different experience like 8n the cinema because there are some part you may not get clearly, pausing to interact will leave more insight. With family we debate on the strike, mistakes but each actors, like in strategies to escape from dangers, we will always put ourself in the actors shoes claiming if it where to be us we would have scaled through. Goodluck friend
Cinema or home, both is a great experience and at home only with the right people.
Thanks for your comment.
