Contest "One Street of my city" # 2
Hello Everyone,
Warm greetings to you, it is exciting having to take you through my neighbourhood, through ONE STREET OF MY CITY.
Now.. Here's the Street:
Umana uko is very much more of an indigenous community than you can imagine, it is located in the heart of the city, being the central region.
This street holds dear memories to me, it is where i first got to learn about true nature and the in dept culture of the people.
It has a population of about 1,000 people comprising of the old, the young and the todlers living sparsely .
I'd like to take you round the streets of umana uko, please join me.
Currently there is road construction on the opening streets of Umana uko which started few months back, though we are happy about the development structure we still wish for the whole process to be on speed as it affecting free movement due to the constant downpour.
To the streets of Umana uko is serene and neat, the comminity have been guided on environmental sanitation and i applaud them for living by it.
Here is a Local Borehole tap house which serves as water source for people residing in this street who don't have borehole source installed in their premises.
So far, it has been very helpful to us.
You'd find houses in this street occupied by residents, Umana Uko street is mostly quiet and less rowdy, one thing i admire alot about this street.
There is a school here, StarBreed Schools, running across nursery, primary and secondary.
Many Children get enrolled here.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing road construction, most kiosk were put away for the time being, we hope to have them back again in no time.
