10% beneficiary to @beautycreativity. Evening snacks (street food)
Hello everyone,
We were outside for some work for a long time, and it was time for a snack. Naturally, the usual choice was to enjoy some street food with the staple drink, chai (tea).
These items are typically fried and made from besan (gram flour), offering a delicious, crunchy, and crispy taste (except for the sweet one).
The sweet one in the first picture is called jalebi. It’s made by deep-frying maida (plain flour or all-purpose flour) batter, which is then soaked in sugar syrup. Jalebis are super delicious, very famous, and are usually eaten after other tangy dishes like the ones below.
I was drawn to these snacks because of their vibrant colors and the filament bulb light illuminating them with a warm orangish-yellow tone, making them even more attractive and irresistible.
So, I tried to capture them in their true spirit :)
I hope you like and enjoy them.
Galebi
Bhaji

"Wow, what a delightful spread of street food treats! 🤩 The vibrant colors and enticing aromas in these photos are making my mouth water 😋. Jalebis look especially irresistible, but all the snacks seem to have been captured perfectly in their true spirit 📸. Would love to know more about your experience with these snacks - did you try them at a market or street vendor? And thanks for sharing this lovely food photography! 👍"
Hey, thank you so much @xpillar.witness!
Yes, I try them whenever I am outside and think of having something. Even on a light stomach, it’s irresistible when you see these snacks.
Usually, I like Kachori and Panipuri. Kachori is crunchy with a mix of flavors—spicy, sweet, and tangy. Panipuri is my all-time favorite; it's sweet, sour, and tangy, with the crunch of puri. I only try Jalebi occasionally since I’ve started cutting down on sugar.
And vada is spicy with a potato flavour, best enjoyed with a chili.
I think your love for the subject reflects in your work too. :)
