My graduation day | First Post in Steemit Nursery Community by @zmoreno

My name is Isabella Moreno, I am 16 years old and I am Venezuelan, specifically from the state of Zulia. Recently, in times of pandemic, I received my title of Bachelor of the Republic. This celebration, which lasted several days, was carried out with the respective biosecurity measures so as not to put anyone's health at risk; however, despite this, I feel very grateful to have finally moved on to another stage of my life successfully.

My graduation officially took place on August 5th of this year, but, prior to that, I hired a very talented photographer to do a photo shoot and capture this celebration in time. I invited my primary family, that is, my parents, my grandmother, my uncle and my younger brother. The session took place in a party room, and thank God every single photo came out perfectly, being this investment totally right and successful.

Something very important to me about this photo shoot is that I used the medal that my mom graduated with thirty years ago from the same high school.

A week later, the big day of receiving the degree arrived. It was August 5th and I woke up very excited. The day before a family friend had done my hair, and in the morning before leaving I did my own simple makeup.

At the school they were planning to have a formal signing of documents, but not a graduation ceremony, which from my point of view was a very responsible decision in the face of the pandemic situation. They hired a photographer, who took pictures of me with the degree certificate, signing documents and in the company of my mother, the person who supported me from the beginning so that I could achieve my goal.

Thanks to Steemit I was able to afford these beautiful photographs, since with my earnings obtained here I paid the photographers for their work. It is wonderful how Steemit can help the progress of society, because, at the same time, the talent of these people is being remunerated as they deserve.

When I left the document signing and had my bachelor's degree in my hands, my dearest grandmother gave me the gift I appreciate most in this world: going to a pizzeria to eat. Because of the economic situation in Venezuela, both my brother and I had not eaten commercial pizza for a long time, so it was an incredible delight that made us dazzle with joy.

Then we got home, and my grandmother, with her talented and hard-working hands, prepared us all a delicious lunch consisting of fried chicken and french fries. She also had a chocolate and butter cake in store that she prepared for me with all the love in her heart.

If this day was not happy enough, it also highlights that my academic average was the highest of the promotion. With 19.6 points accumulated from first to last year, I went down in the history of my school as one of the students with the best classification. I was also the youngest in the class because, at the time, I was 15 years old; I turned 16 on August 10.

An addition to my prom day was a gift I gave my younger brother with my Steemit winnings. We jokingly say that my brother and I are like twins, because we always celebrate things as if they happened to both of us. There's not much of a lie in this: that day I gave him a pair of sneakers to thank him for all the support, patience and love he gave me in my five years of high school.

I am very happy to have successfully graduated. Although my day was not the typical crazy graduation celebration, I am glad to have spent it with my family, who thank God are safe and sound.

We are already making arrangements for me to start Chemical Engineering at a local university soon. It is my dream career; I love studying it, which I learned to love from the excellent teacher who taught me at my high school. Chemistry is so versatile and fantastic.

I mainly thank Steemit because without his presence in my life, I wouldn't even have the means to study my dream career.
