WATERMELON,HEART HEALTH AND GENERAL WELL-BEING

Hello steemians of this wonderful community,I greet you all today I want to talk about watermelon and it benefits to our health am sure we will learn a lot from this.
Regular intake of watermelon has huge benefits for your heart health.A study published in the American journal of Hypertension found that watermelon extracts helped reduced hypertension and lowere blood pressure in obese adult.Three of such extracts are citrulline, Lycopene and Arginine
Citrulline helps the body to produce nitric acid,a gas that causes Vasodilation (Relaxes blood vessels),thereby helping blood flow which can help reduce blood pressure.
The high level of Lycopene are very effective at protecting cells from damage and may help lower the risk of heart disease, according to a study at Purdue University Lycopene is an inhibitor for various inflammatory processes and also work as an antioxidant to neutralize free radicals.
Watermelon also contain another anti-inflammatory agent "choline" as well. Awesome!
Arginine,an Amino acid,can help improve blood flow and may help reduce the accumulation of excess fat.
Did you also know that watermelon is a natural aphrodisiac?
Well..............
We've said that watermelon contains Amino acid, citrulline,right?.
In the body,L-citrulline is converted to L-arginine,which enhances "nitric oxide mediated Vasodilation" this contributes to the hardness of erections,increases strength and stamina and also help you maintain an erection.
Now most of us are in the habit of spitting out the seeds of watermelon,but this is like taking only the PMS portion of crude oil and throwing away the rest of the stuff- a gross waste of valuables!
Watermelon seeds are one of the most nutrients- dense varieties of seeds. They are rich source of protein,Omega 3, Omega 6, vitamins,fatty acids and more these seeds are high in calories though,so u need to be mindful of your portions( especially, if you are trying to loose weight).
Moderation is the key as watermelon lovers should eat moderate portions as over consumption could potentially cause an increased blood sugar level (due to its high sugar content), Nausea, diarrhea,indigestion and bloating (due to excess Lycopene).
So don't forget to add veggies and fruits to your meals today, sometimes all you need to do is eat healthy and you won't needs those medications.
Talk to your doctor about medicines.stop abusing antibiotics and drugs in general.
