SEC - S12W1: "A bedtime story" Greed and pride are the cause of downfall

Many years ago a kathuri of the village had two wives. His elder wife was not very beautiful in appearance but possessed a very kind heart. On the other hand his younger wife was very beautiful but she was very arrogant. The two wives used to spin yarn on spinning wheels and went to Kathuri town to sell the yarn to traders. When Kathuri went to the city, the elder wife did all the housework, the younger wife did not do any work.
While the elder wife was combing the hair of the younger wife, some of her hair was torn. So in anger, the younger wife pulls the elder wife's hair and throws her out of the house. The elder wife came to the forest walking in pain. A tree in the forest called the elder wife for help. The elder wife went to the tree and asked if she would help. A tree requests to remove its dead branches. The elder wife broke the dead branches of the tree. When the work is done, the tree asks the elder wife to take the dead branches with her so that she can use them on the way.
While walking, the elder wife saw a banana tree. The banana tree was bent so asked him to help. The elder wife straightens the banana tree with dead branches. To help, the banana tree gives gold leaves to the elder wife.
The elder wife goes deep into the forest with the gift. Came to the deep forest and met a saint. The saint asked the elder wife to take three dips in the front pond. The elder wife took three dips in the pond as the saint said and found that he was impossibly beautiful and his whole body was covered with jewels. Then the elder wife meets the saint and returns home.
Seeing the beauty of the elder wife and ornaments all over her body, the younger wife fell in greed. So after hearing everything from his elder wife, he also went to the forest. He came to the forest and met the trees. When the tree asks him to help him, he does not help the tree out of pride. And while walking he said to himself why should I help the tree so beautiful. Then he also met the banana tree. Banana tree asks him to help. Out of greed, he wants to help the banana tree. But somehow he can't straighten the banana tree. So he failed and went from there to the deep forest. He also met the saint in the deep forest. The saint asked him to take three dips in the pond. After she goes into the pond and takes three dips she is more beautiful and her whole body is covered with jewels. greed later takes another dive which makes the younger wife very ugly and all her body jewelry is gone. Seeing his condition, he immediately went to apologize to the saint but came and found that the saint was gone.
