SEC - S9W1: Comics Character that identifies me

Hello everyone

Greetings to you all in this community as the Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 9 week 1 is here, this is my entry for the theme of this week's contest from this community. Without further ado, let's get to the business of the day.

Which character do you identify with?

I feel connected to "Goku" in this cosplay as his character is an amiable one pioneered around teamwork. Teamwork is always an attribute we would need as at some point, we would have reasons to work on projects with others from different backgrounds and cultures. Remember the saying, if you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go with people. And life is not fast and furious, the faster you go, the more likelihood of a crash.

Having a team of people working together to achieve a common goal means there will be disparities, largely in the area of utterance, efforts, beliefs, etc. Therefore, if we are to achieve our goals, we set apart our discrepancies and run with a joint mind to achieve our goals as a team.

"I just thought we would put our differences aside for once and work together. We owe that to our teammates, family, and friends!"

Is a statement of intent to unify us in our diversities, "Unity in diversity". It says volume about leaving our differences behind us to achieve a common goal and also illustrates the truth that a multitude of distinct backdrops and dogmas can work together to accomplish much.

A common example for everyone to see is the community Curator and Moderator teams which constitute users from different grounds, cultures, countries, and beliefs. These are teams that carry out the day-to-day running of this platform even in their discrepancies. Another example worth mentioning is the coming together of all users of this great platform to promote it.

What are the main characteristics of that character? What makes it special?

As a die-hard fan of the popular Dragon Ballz series which Goku stared in, I wouldn't mind sharing all his special characters, but time would fail me to do so, therefore I will pick out a few of which I believe stood out the more.

Tolerance
Goku in his young stage was a temperamental character before an unfortunate (rather fortunate per se) accident that caused him to lose his memories and brought about tolerance within him. Tolerance is a key factor in relating with people of diverse backgrounds as provocation is certain to raise among them even without them knowing, this is where tolerance comes in for the common goals.

TeamWork
Teamwork is another trait of Goku, someone who was initially shy to relate with others, that is to say, teamwork and togetherness are important. As the saying, a single broom can break easily, but not a bundle of broomsticks. Amping up our disparities leads nowhere, other than causing chaos, so he preaches togetherness.

Love
Goku is a character of love, as loving one another is what brings about togetherness, which in turn brings about tolerance. Love even according to the holy book is the fairest of all commandments. Love should always be our watchword no matter where we find ourselves, be it our place of work, school, or sacred gatherings. Love is the greatest of all gifts to mankind.

What do you think about the iconic phrase of the character?-What teaching does the character project to his audience?

The projection by this character as earlier said is having oneness and love among ourselves. There's no greater feeling than knowing you are loved, we all can attest to that, can't we?

Love and Tolerance are the fuel of teamwork with people of different backgrounds.

At this point, he's telling us the reason we should let go of our pride and differences and work together, for the sake of our loved ones. Depicting love as the unifying factor.

Any community bonded by love would work in togetherness and will surely encounter progress and growth in every aspect. There is strength in our diversity, choosing to strengthen our differences would only bring up more troubles and it will slow down the progress of the community.

This was done using a mobile app (Pixellab) on my phone. I identify so well with this character as he taught me valuable lessons.

CONCLUSION

Teamwork is the coming together of people to achieve a certain goal. Teamwork is an important aspect we learn as we grow as it helps simplify tasks and makes it easier to get them done faster. Teamwork teaches us how to bond and work with others and without it, absolutely nothing is possible.
