SEC S17W3: Tribute to the Book".
I appreciate this community for recognizing my effort last week, it really pays to work hard. I'm here again to share my thoughts on the book that changed my life . I have come across several books that made great impacts to my life, the Bible is one of them apart from the Bible i have another book that I want to pay tribute to, let's get there.
Tell us about that book you read that changed your life.
When we read books there are one or two things we may be looking out for, I read this book far back 2015 , till this day I'm still reflecting on the words and it's massages. This book tittled Purple Hibiscus, changed so many things about me.
It has changed my mind of paying back evil to evil , the likes of Kambili's father who was so inhumane to his children and wife.
It helped me to understand that some people's behaviors and characters can be manipulated or caused by one experience or the other.
What is your favorite literary genre and author, share the reasons.
I love poetry alot , and I think some fiction in literature makes me feel like reading more of the book. Some authors in fictional books that attracts me are :
- Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- Chinua Achebe.
I like fiction because it keeps me in suspense, I want to always read to the end.
It brings my imagination to think of how things will be and how it has been.
Sometimes when I'm reading some fictional books, it brings my mind to things that are happening around me.
I feel so emotional, it keeps arousing my curiosity till I gets to the end.
Just like folk tale, I can remember how I will always remind my grandpa to tell me one story every night.
If you had the opportunity to write a book, what would it be about?
If I'm to write a book now , I will focus on Gender equality, I can still sense that African mentality on some men in our society today, women are not given the freedom to explore and do things without being subjected to men's decision first wether their decisions are good or bad.
I will make sure ,I tell stories of successful women who are doing well and then enlighten some preemptive men on the need to cherish their wives and give them room to express themselves and their right.
Recommend a book to your readers on Steemit.
We have so many intellectuals on steemit, people that have read and studied series of books, but then I want to recommend this book
The science of self control by Howard RACHLIN
This book will help our journey on steemit and in real life.
Self control is what everyone should have or learn to have. Uncountable mistakes has been made today because of the way people manage their emotions.
When we have self control, it will show in what ever we are doing, self control will help us to control our account on steemit. This book is one in town ,very interesting I want to encourage steemit users to check and read .
In Conclusion. I want to give kudos to the author of this book The purple Hibiscus , she really tried in bringing to limelight the need to consistently push in achieving the rightful thing. It is a book worth reading over and over again. I love the book.

I think the book on emotional control is a good recommendation. It's true that sometimes we lose control over our emotions and make mistakes. So taking some time to read about how to have more self-control is always a good idea.

The book which you read in 2015 and you still remember the lines of that book, my interest in that book "Purple Hibiscus"has also increased because I have seen such a person around me who behaves inhumanly with his children and wife and I do not understand why he does this, maybe this book will open the doors of my mind and it will be easy for me to understand that man as to why he does this to his family members.

Dear your presentation is very awesome and awesome post really appreciated by you the way you expressed about the books in it very nice to know how you discussed about different books. But the book we have recommended I have read myself four years ago it is really great and comprehensive book which gives a complete guide to life so I myself am a big fan of this book and this writer. I have studied many other books by this author and he has provided valuable information that guides me in every aspect of my life.
