The Lady of Shalott heads to Camelot in search of Sir Lancelot
Posted on: Tuesday, July 2, 2024
The background story of John William Waterhouse's "The Lady of Shalott" (1888) was impressive, so I re-drawn it with AI.
The Lady of Shalott, from the British legend of King Arthur, is cursed to die if she looks directly at the outside world. Trapped in a tower, she uses mirrors to see and embroider images of passing people. She falls in love with Sir Lancelot through the mirror, defies her curse and looks directly at him. She leaves her tower and sails towards Camelot to find him before she dies.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you :)
