Greetings to everyone in this community and the platform in general. This is my entry for the engagement challenge of this week's contest titled "The Animals (Mascot)" from this community.

Animals have always been part of human existence, hence their presence in most of emblems and Sports Mascots. Most of our national football teams in Africa are nicknamed after animals found in their mascots and emblems.
The animal most popular with us Nigerians is the Eagle. The Eagle is found on almost all emblems and mascots in Nigeria. It is considered a wild bird due to its strength and ability to live in the wild.

The Eagle is classified among the largest birds in the world and they belong to the family Accipitridae.
Image of an Eagle source:PexelsEagles are known to have heavy-head, broad wings, hooked beaks and powerful muscular legs they use to hunt prey. Not forgetting their sharp eyes they use to spot their prey from afar, as far as 5 kilometres away.
Eagles are the pinnacle predators of the avian world as they prey on fish, smaller birds, snakes and any average-sized vertebrates that they can find.

Eagles are known to be over 60 species such as the Martial Eagle, Philippine Eagle, Eastern Imperial Eagle, Harpy Eagle etc which are rumoured to found all of the world around Europe, Asia and Africa.

Nigeria for example is characterized by the "Eagle". From the national men's team known as the "Super Eagles", to the national women's team known as the "Super Falcons" to the youth teams known as "Golden Eaglets" for the male and "Falconets" for the females.
Nigerian animal mascot is greatly around the Eagle as it is found even in the country's Coat of Arms, Nigerian Police Emblem etc.
On the internal sports level, the Eagle is also a famous mascot to so many football clubs such as Crystal Palace FC of England, Benfica FC of Portugal, Lazio FC of Italy etc, with both Crystal Palace FC and Benfica FC featuring Alive Eagle in their stadiums during and before matches.

The Eagle is a national bird of many countries such as the United States of America, Germany, Mexico, Nigeria etc. The Eagle symbolises a lot of things to different cultures such as strength, resilience, power freedom, splendour, intrepidity, valour, admiration, pride, fortitude, dignity etc.

El águila es un ave imponente, es el rey de los cielos, son aves tan audaces y con una vista increíble, pueder ver a sus presas desde distancias muy grandes, poseen una alta efectividad para cazar y si algo cae en sus afiladas garras jamás se soltará, tener el aguila como mascota representa madurez, puedo ver que en Nigeria es muy amado y esta presente en muchos emblemas, esta en deportivos así como en otros.

El Aguila uno de los animales más impresionantes del mundo por su habilidades de vuelo, además de ser símbolo de fuerza, esplendor y Libertad que le hace ser elegida como simbología para muchas marcas deportivas y como en el caso que nos presentas está presente en el escudo de armas, algo que la eleva aún más.

Sepertinya kita mempunyai ketertarikan yang sama terhadap maskot hewan elang. Beberapa negara menggunakan elang sebagai simbol kekuatan. Dan beberapa tim olahraga juga menggunakan maskot elang sebagai simbol tim.
