"*Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W4 - **Kids Funny, Excited and Annoying (tantrum) moments*".

in Steem Kids & Parents2 years ago (edited)

Kids are a set of human beings with so much innocence and free mind. They are the heritage of the Lord. Kids are the joy of their parents. There's this popular adage in my hometown that says, "riches, lands and properties are not wealth, but children are the wealth of any parent."

Do you think kids can be funny, excited and annoying (tantrum)?

Very well. These are changes in a person's emotions, as well as kids since they are also humans. This is normal and very acceptable.

***Kids can be funny sometimes when:***

-They are trying to fix something that they know cannot be fixed by them.
-They ask or say what you never expected them to say very easily, for example, to string a good sentence together.
-Asking you questions that you don't know how to answer or, you never thought about, or thought it necessary to ask another person, I have an experience here.
-Trying to pose for pictures.
-Imitating their teachers from school.

      ***Excited***

Kids are excited when:
-They receive gifts.
-Play with their friends.
-Play with anyone they are comfortable with.
-They get to spend time with their loved ones, especially their parents.
-When you keep to your word, they will always remind you what you promised them weeks back😆
-They are in occasions like school parties or birthday parties.
-They participate in an activity, whether they are able to do it well or not.

     ***Annoying***

This is the part no parent or guardian wants to experience with a child. It can be so irritating and disturbing. The annoyance sets in when a kid:
-Asks too many unnecessary questions.
-Repeats a particular habit that you might've warned him or her against.
-Displaces what you carefully dropped somewhere.
-Damages some valuables.
-Becomes moody without wanting to say the reason for being that way (mid swing).
-Misbehaves when you're in an important event.
And a host of other reasons.

Do parents contribute to any of these sections?

Sure. They do.
When a child is excited about something, it doesn't just happen on it's own. The parents must've bought him something, surprised him with something, or taken the child out to see his friends and play with them.
In the same way, a child can be sad because the parent scolded him for something he did wrong, or he might've been disciplined, or shouted at. A child can also be sad when the parents fail to do what was promised for him, or when he gets little or no time to spend with the parents.
In being funny, this is only allowed when the parents gives the child room to be funny. Some parents who have temper issues would term this "silly", and deprive the child of some freedom to do stuff the child feels like doing. If the parents do not accept this, a child cannot be seen as being funny, but always annoying which is wrong.
In contrast, a funny child will always see the parents enjoying their childishness and laughing just to make the child feel loved, this doesn't mean boundaries shouldn't be set to correct the child when he goes wrong.
A kid bonds so much with the parents, so the parents contribute so greatly to a child's emotions, whether they are happy, sad, emotional or funny.

Which of these actions do you hate?
The annoying aspect of course! No parent would clap for the child to be annoying, since we have so many things to attend to. It's for the kid to be at his best behaviour always. No one can be controlled, including kids. So helping them to always display the actions we like is a wish. They will always come up with the part we dislike; it's inevitable. If they don't, it means they're being controlled, and it's not good for their health, and relationship with who they're staying with.
It's left for parents to bring them up with love, care, understanding, and room to accommodate their kids' childishness.

Your advice to the kids on these actions
Dear kids, you're loved and cherished always. You're the best and most precious gifts to your parents and the world. Do what your parents like, what they always tell you to do, and try to avoid what pisses them off.
Be free to express how and what you feel, but do it with respect, so you don't hurt another person trying to express your emotions.

I'm open for corrections and possible contributions.

MOD's Observations/suggestionsThank you for sharing your post with us. Children may be funny, excited and annoying. Its their nature i agree with your point of view. Its golden period of their age they amuse us with their funny acts.

Best of luck

You are right, kids are pure, innocent and free minded. Their free spirited nature makes them lovable and blinds us sometime to ignore their annoying behaviour.

You've written well but I have some few observations;

  • Your content is not aligned properly. Justify it to make it look neat.
  • Citation arrangement: use this to make your citing presentable; [Image source] (link)

Good luck in the contest!
