Egusi soup is one of the richest soups you can find around Africa travel the world you will find out that egusi is one of the first-class soups that is served in restaurants, hotels, and streets

I take pressure in cooking different varieties of soup in different steps but arriving at a delicious ending as a woman if you are cooking with all your heart deriving pleasure in what you do then you will find joy and fulfillment while doing it

First I purchase all the ingredients from the market but the melon from my farm

  • Egusi
  • pepper
  • crayfish
  • dry fish
  • onions
  • red oil
  • Maggie
  • Ogu leaf
  • water

First step

I washed the egusi properly and mixed it with pepper then I took it for grinding

Second step

I turn it inside an empty Pot and put it on fire for about 45 minutes so that the water will drain up leaving the egusi like an egg sauce then I keep it aside

Then I pound the ingredients that are Pepper onions and crayfish I repair the fish by removing the bones so that it will not hang on my baby's throat then I slice the leaves

Put red oil in an empty Pot then I put the ingredients with three cubes of Maggie then I add the fish and allow it to hot a little for 20 seconds depending on the fire level

I return the egusi to the fried ingredients and mix it for 2 seconds then I add water and more Maggi without mixing it I cover it and allow it to boil for 45 minutes so that the ingredients can circulate

Finally, I add Ogu leaf, this leaf addition to the soup is the last step of my soup so after adding it I drop it immediately because I love the soup's green color

My front camera got damaged by the rain

This soup can be consumed with different meals swallow fufu gari and tofu
