Hi everyone,
A look at your newspaper, the voice form your radio, the motion picture from your television, the internet not left out; all speak the same line which is the society and the world at large is full of problems. Issues such as riots, examination malpractice, cultism and many more, have become a regular rhymes to our ears and this problems needs to be stopped so we can enjoy peace and security. However these problems cannot be combatted without sufficient knowledge of what they are about. For this reason I thank @udyliciouz who wants to see the world become a better place, by bringing up this article. She sure is deliciouz 😁.

Social issues refers to those things that upset or negatively affects our social lives, wellbeing, and peace.
According to our tutor @udyliciouz in the post Social problems in the world,
A social problem can also be referred to any condition or behavior that has negative effect or consequences for large numbers of people in the soicety and that is generally recognized as a condition or behavior that needs to be addressed.
In summary, Social Problems/Issues "is a "man-made" problem man that arises as a result of living with other humans.

Nigeria one of Africa's largest country is plagued with social problems (well no country can say it is free from social problems). Tales of woes are sung everyday on our social media. Some of these include:
- Cultism
- Terrorism
- Examination Malpractice
- Riots
- Political/Electoral violence
- HIV/AIDS
- Vandalization of Government Properties and Social Amenities
- Police Brutality
- Armed robbery
- Bribery/Corruption.
Many factors causes social problems, some of them are;
- Greed
- Poverty
- Peer Pressure
- Laziness
- Anger/
Meaning, Mode of Transmission and Prevention |

HIV/AIDS is an acronym for Human immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. It is a situation that weakens the body defenses thereby letting other foreign disease and infection enter the body. AIDS is the full manifestation of HIV
some of the symptoms of HIV include:
- Fever
- Headache
- Muscle aches and joint pain
- Rash
- Sore throat and painful mouth sores
- Swollen lymph glands, mainly on the neck
- Diarrhea
- Weight loss
- Cough
Note that: having any of these symptoms doesn't mean your infected. Seeing a doctor and getting a proper test is the best choice.
Mode of Transmission
HIV/AIDS can be transmitted via;
- Any form of sexual intercourse
- Mother to Child through child birth
- Sharing of sharp objects and items like clippers, razor, nail cutter with someone who's infected.
- Blood transfusions ....etc
Prevention Of HIV/AIDS
- Avoiding casual sex and staying true to one partner. However, Abstinence Is preferred whenever possible.
- Not Sharing personal items such As toothbrush, floss sticks,shaving sticks and clippers with others. If sharing cannot be avoided then proper sterilisation should be used before and after each use.

Meaning of Examination Malpractice
Examination Malpractice is the act of cheating or carrying out conducts that is not in line with the examination rules. They include, Hiring someone to write for oneself, Copying from and external sources when it's not permitted, spying and copying from someone else's paper, paying to get the exams before the exams date and many other examination crimes.
Causes of Examination Malpractice
- Laziness on the part of the students
- Inability to read and understand
- Lack of motivation and dedication
- Not attending Classes
- Wanting to get a better score or passmark.
Solutions to Examination Malpractice
- Creating a better education system that makes learning more interesting.
- Encouraging Hardwork and Discipline my giving prizes and awards to those who are outstanding in their studies.
- Discipline and Taking ones study seriously on the part of the students.
- Asking for help/professional advice whenever one does not understand a certain topic or course.
