Update #72: Writing Expedition ✍️ ||Thursday: Literature(stories, poetry, prose)/music recreation review
Hello everyone,
It's your favorite Steemian @rakiya from Nigeria and I'm delighted to join in this contest organized by @steemkidss in this noble community today. It's a wonderful contest and I love to share my participation in it.
In today's writing expedition, I would like to focus on storytelling. I want to believe you will have fun when reading through my story today. This is a fiction story so cast your mind to your imagination and you will see the beauty in it.
A young lady who thought that life was on her feet because of the luxury she enjoyed from birth met with the most horrible situation of her life when she was struck by a deadly disease.
It is the story of Akun, a 17-year-old girl who has everything at her back and core and she wasn't deprived of anything because they parents had more than enough to waste. At that age, she made bad friends who influenced her into taking every type of drug and also who took her to all kinds of clubs where she met all kinds of men.
She changes men's clothes because she pays them after their service to her. She did this for a year and some months and even when those who saw the way she was going called to advise her, she refused to listen to any of them because according to her they were jealous of her.
At some point, she renders insults to those who try to assist her and encourage her to do the right thing but she doesn't seem to hear or listen to anyone as she made up her mind to do only what makes her happy.
When CARMA catches up with her, she becomes so sick that she can't move or do anything against those friends of hers who always advise her wrongly giving her all forms of drugs and introducing her to all sorts of lifestyles that disappeared and she was left with no one.
Even those they slept and sis things together started running away from her. It was then that Akun remembered all the advice that was given to her initially and at that time it was late already because they had been done already.
She regretted all the actions she had taken and she always prayed to God to have another chance and to at least tell those who were going in her direction to make a change now when it was early because if she had known that it would be this way then she wouldn't have done what she did that landed her to this point.
Moral Lesson
We all may be living a life that is not worth it at the moment and we need to change our ways of life before it becomes too. So this post today should encourage us to live a good life. According to Socrates "an unexamined life is not worth living".
