What Is your opinion about Bilingual?

In my little understanding, my opinion about bilinguals is the ability of someone or a person to be able to speak two or more different languages perfectly.

Countries with many official languages like Nigeria practice this much much than countries that have only one language. So in my opinion being Bilingual means you can effectively communicate with more than one language.

If you're a parent Would you like your kids to learn more than a language, and if you're a kid would you like to learn another language apart from your mother tongue?

Yes, as a kid or as a parent, I would love to learn and teach my children more languages because it aids communication and helps build a stronger relationships. In a country like Nigeria, when you speak in anyone's tongue, the person takes you as his/her brother or sister not minding where you came from.

There are also case scenarios where jobs and prices of things can be given or reduced respectively just because you spoke in the person's language. So learning other languages can help to protect you even during war or when you are in any difficulty.

Which other language(s) would you like to learn?

I'm currently Yoruba by trib and the three major tribes in Nigeria are Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba. So for now I want to learn Igbo and Hausa because every part of the country has people from these tribes.

Imagine going to look for a job and an Igbo man or a Hausa man is in charge and reaching there, you speak his or her language to greet him. You have already won the heart of the person hence you may not need to stress again as grace will speak for you from then henceforth.

So I would love to learn Igno and Hausa and I would like to speak them as if it's my language. This means I wanted to learn it perfectly more than even the owners of it.

What are the advantages of speaking more than a language?

As I have stated above, there are many advantages involved when it comes to speaking more than a language and one of the benefits includes being able to communicate effectively, and securing favour from the persons you are looking up to.

Also, you will have the ability to talk better and relate with people in that environment because you understand their language and not the situation when they will be talking you won't understand to respond thereby leaving you in the dark.
