Application for Community Curator for November 2023
Hi, my esteemed steemit team,
Another interesting month is coming up. In fact, the previous time I was not able to be a Community curator. However, I have been working as an active Steemian by sharing creative articles and organizing valuable contests. Therefore, I think that I am still suitable to work as a Steemit Community Curator for the month of November . So once again I will explain my credentials to be this honorable Community Curator and how I will fulfill those responsibilities.

I joined Steemit in June 2021 and since the beginning, I think I have been able to share quality content with Steemit. To tell you the truth, I have posted about 598 different articles here for almost three years and a few months now. So, during this time, I was able to share so many articles, apart from earning money from this, it was satisfaction in my heart when sharing ideas here. Like I said before, here I have to mention this phrase again and again as it is something that I feel in my heart.
In my early days, I especially learned a lot about steemit from the newcomers community. So there I was able to get the "Pro newcomer verified/R3/act" label which is the highest level I can study in that community.
After that, I have continuously published various articles in various communities and participated in many contests, and won many first places. Here my special qualification is to make beautiful designs using discarded raw materials or leftover raw materials and especially publish them here as articles.
Apart from participating in contests, I have also organized many attractive contests in some communities such as Steem Fashion&Style and Steem Kids & Parents community. In addition, I am still reviewing articles published by parents and kids in Steem Kids & Parents community. Therefore, I am sure that I have gained good training through my experience to identify plagiarized content and AI-generated content.
If I mention more about my Steem history, I have also bought steem from the external market in addition to just earning steem. So here I think that if we buy steem in addition to selling it will also be good to protect the price of steem. So as a result of this, I was able to reach the dolphin level and as well as the Double Dolphin,Triple Dolphin Levels which are some important milestones in steemit, and I was also able to pass the 12,500sp limit required to become a community curator.
Since the beginning of September, I am working as an active Community Curator with Team 2 and I am still enjoying my responsibility as a fair Community Curator.
I have joined as a Team Member at Hindwhale Community and I accepted my moderator role in this community. I would like to say that I'm already making a significant contribution to this community by reviewing articles published by others and organizing creative contests to attract new participants.
I am also working as an active moderator in a very famous community, Steem Kids & Parents community, in which I organize contests and review articles published by others.
I was able to be an active moderator in the Steemit Fashion & Style community, which had been selected for Season 8 of the Steemit Engagement Challenge organized by the Steemit team and I reviewed the articles of those who had participated in unique contests and the Steemit Engagement Challenge. However, I have cleared that role as I have to focus more time on my Curation Team and review/vote on creative articles.
In addition to reviewing the content in these communities as well as blogs, we are working hard to find people who have posted plagiarized and AI-generated content and we are also informing the newbies of Steem that it is a very harmful process for the steem ecosystem.
- Since my school days, I was very interested in art-related things and that's why I wanted to study cake-making professionally after school age. Therefore, I also studied for a diploma in Professional Cake Making & Wedding Cake Structures at Menaka Culinary Art Academy. So with this knowledge and my experience, I have been able to make very beautiful and attractive cakes and related decorations and I will mention some related pictures below.
Apart from art, I also have some talents in sports. I was able to move up quite a bit in terms of carrom and got a lot of medals for it. In fact, it can be called an innate talent from my school days and I have also mentioned a photo with the medals I received for it.
- In addition to the skills mentioned above, I have a good knowledge of creating various designs on computers and working with MS office applications. Here I have also received some training through experience in web-based applications such as Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides. Therefore, as a community curator, I think it is possible to analyze and show relevant data very clearly with the help of my experience and knowledge.
I live as an honorable citizen of Sri Lanka and speak Sinhalese, the main language of my country, as my mother tongue. At the same time, English, which is an international language, is also used as the second main language in our country, and both English and Sinhala are used for reading and writing.

In addition to delegations, I use the remaining 14,072.10 SP to upvote quality articles in various communities and also use them for newcomers who share quality articles.
As I mentioned earlier, I love art-related articles and I especially read art-related articles posted on steemit. So apart from reading, if I can give them some value, it will be greatly appreciated.
However, I would love to read and curate any other articles posted on steemit if they are of the highest quality, as I already do.
Here, in addition to the articles published in the communities, I would also like to read and curate the articles published as people's personal blogs or outside the communities.
Apart from this, I would also like to read and curate valuable comments that have been posted as expositions on various articles.
Finally, I would like to mention that I believe I can identify quality content and plagiarized or AI-generated content based on my experience and skills. At the same time, we are already using tools that can detect plagiarized or AI-generated content. Because, as community moderators, we are currently using tools that can detect plagiarized or AI-generated content.
However, since these detecting tools do not always work, we cannot depend on them. That's why we should investigate other people's articles according to our experience and skills. Therefore, I think that if I get the role of Community Curator, I will be able to do it very well justice.
