Hi Steemians, It is a great pleasure to share my entry in this wonderful contest hosted here in this community today. The contest title is The Weather Condition in My Locality(Your Country)and How I'm Preparing For a Possible Disaster and I will be discussing the questions that follow.
I'm a Nigerian and currently we are experiencing very serious wind and rainfall which has caused a lot over the past few days. I hope that you will enjoy reading through the entire post today.
What is the weather condition in your locality and how does it affect people's activities?
The past few days have been very difficult for those of us living around because of the too much rainfall. The rain has consistently fallen these few days.
This has kept those who do daily jobs at home because the site hustle doesn't work again as it used to before this time since there is always rainfall.
Shops and other businesses have been almost on lockdown for the past few days because of the weather conditions. We have seen increasing hunger in the past few days because of the weather conditions too.
I hardly go out on this day because my workplace is very far away and I don't even have money for transport and unless you use a car you may be drenched in the rain. I don't have any other option than stay at home and this has cost me too.
Many have lost their jobs recently because of the inactive to work. The weather is not friendly at all because of the wind and the rain we have seen this past few days.
Do You think there's a possibility to cause a Disaster, if Yes how are you preparing for it?
Yes, based on the past few day's experience, I have seen strong wind that if it continues with time we will see houses being pulled down. So yes there are probabilities of having a disaster soon.
We have fixed the roof of our house recently and cut down the trees around because of the kind of wind we are seeing at the moment. Most times this rain comes during the night time and it will be better to be on the safer side by putting all hands on deck.

I usually pity those who hawk or sell by the roadsides. This rainy season is usually not favourable for them. It drenches their goods, discomforts them and they experience low patronage.
A side hustle will help but will the earnings be enough to cover their spendings like transportation and feeding?
