Hi Steemians,
It's another day of the week and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @bossj23 which talks about Christmas and Its Origin..Do you know? I will be making my entry below so read through it and drop your valuable comment as it will be appreciated.

What does Christmas mean for you?

Christmas to me is a period when Christians all over the world remember the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and personal Saviour. It's a period where we recall that salvation has come to the world through Christ.

Christmas is a period of hope because people are in anguish before the coming of Christ, so God sent his son to come and liberate them from every operation and then give them hope.

So to me, this season of Christmas is a season where we give hope to as many as possible. It's a period where we look at others and do our best to put a smile on their faces.

Trace the origin of Christmas, stating at least 3 facts that support or counter the celebration.

Christmas is a day set aside by Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The reason I support this is because the world itself has accepted and given that day to everyone to have it as a day for the celebration.

The celebration is for good and not for evil and for that reason I support it more. It may not be the day Christ was born but people who are God's representative here on earth have come up with that date for us to always have that celebration.

In my opinion, there is no point in arguing if Christmas is worth celebrating or not. If anyone has a better date as to when Christ was born then he should come up with it for us to know and possibly move the celebration to that time.

Was Jesus born on 25th December?

Jesus wasn't born on the 25th of December. This day was a day set aside because of the culture in place before the birth of Jesus Christ. To turn the celebration into a Christian celebration, that date was taken into consideration.

So, just like the apostle Paul gave honour to an unknown God during his preaching, it's the same as the case of Christmas. Men who are anointed came up with the date so that it would be a unionized celebration.

Why do you choose to or choose not to celebrate Christmas?

I chose to celebrate Christmas because it is the right thing to do. Elders of the church have set aside this day for the celebration and since they accepted this day, I believe it is also accepted in God's site.

So since it was something that has its roots in culture the multitude of Christians all over the world have set aside that very day to acknowledge the birth of Christ I also join in the celebration.

I want to invite @jasminemary, @josepha, and @bonaventure24, to join the contest in this community and share their entry participation.

It's really a nice thing to do especially by we the Christians celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ ❤️

I enjoyed reading your post.
Saying that the date was put into consideration before chosen to cancel the celebration of other cultures on that day, So that the birth of Jesus could be celebrated is also nice.
Keep up the good work.

You came up with a nice entry, I'm happy you believe that Jesus was not born in 25 December.

Good luck friend.
