Indeed it was a blessing in disguise

My story will be based on fiction. So just sit back relax and enjoy

A BLESSING IN DISGUISE

Everyday, we see many stray families with no proper home to live in. This story is about one of such families. Daniel and his mom who had been homeless for sometime.

During the nights they sleep under the bridge for shelter and during the day, they hang around restaurants in search of left over foods. They had to struggle so much just so they could eat.

One day, on their way towards a restaurant Daniel stopped and showed his mom, a little, weak and very fine kitten which was abandoned shaking under a tree. He took it up and curled it up in his coat. He showed his mom this cute looking kitten with the cutest smile that he wanted to take care of the kitten but his mother couldn’t say no to his request. Daniel had forgotten about his current state of hunger because he now had a friend. His mother reluctantly smiled back at him and they went to a nearby restaurant and were seated outside waiting for scraps. Daniel was so busy with his little new friend when a woman put a leftover meatpie beside him. He looked up and was ready to get on his feet. The lady was surprised and turned and Daniel asked her, ' can you please give me some milk also'.

The lady was filled with awe as she knelt and asked sarcastically, ‘oh so you can enjoy your meal with?’ Daniel's mom became really tensed with the lady's question and looked down shamefully.

Daniel answered ‘No, no, It is not for me but for my cuddly friend so he could get some strength so we could play together.’

At this point, the lady's heart shook. Then, Daniel took out the kitten from his lap and said ‘You see I may be able to wait and my mom can also take care of me but she(the little kitten)has no one.’ The lady became heartbroken. She hugged Daniel and appreciated him for teaching her a lesson she will never forget which is everyone deserves respect. She then invited Daniel and his mom to come with her to her house. She offered to give them a place to stay and she also also gave Daniels mom a job . The little kitten and Daniel’s kindness indeed was a blessing in disguise.

MORAL LESSONS

• Never look down on anyone no matter the persons status
• There is always a lesson to be learnt from every experience
• Most opportunities disguise themselves as problems

IN CONCLUSION
Always be open and ready to learn from others no matter who they are or where you find them. Life may not always be so rossy but always look for the light at the end of the tunnel.
