Happy Sunday to everyone in steem kids and parents community. Am glad to be here again to participate in this week food challenge. This week, I will be sharing my food diary on Beans and Yam Porridge.

Ingredients use

  • Beans

  • Yam

  • Red oil

  • Vegetable

  • Crayfish

  • Fish

  • Seasoning cubes, Salt, Maggi, Pepper

Preparation

👉 Firstly, select the beans, wash, put inside the pot and boil. As the beans was on fire, peal and slice the yam into your desirable sizes.

👉 Get other of the ingredients ready as the beans is yet to soft.

👉 Check the beans, is now tender and soft. Drain it and keep it aside.

👉 Wash the slice yam and put inside the pot. Inside the pot containing the wash yam,

spread the beans to cover the yam, add the grinder crayfish, the fish, seasoning cubes, salt, pepper, water and small red oil.

👉 Place the pot on fire and allow it for 30minute.

👉 After 30minute, open the pot and stir. Check the yam if it is soft enough if not allow it again for some more minutes. Also check the ingredients and make sure all are in a right proportion.

👉 Open the pot again and check the yam. Now the yam is very soft.

Add the slice vegetables and stir. Add more red oil, stir and keep the pot open for few minutes.

👉 Stir the meal again and off the lights.

Beans and yam porridge is ready.

Beans is a source of fiber that is rich in protein, vitamin. Is a very good meal for diabetic patient. It help in support healthy growth.

Yam is a source of carbohydrates which help in building up the energy in the body.

Fish is also a source of protein that contain Omega-3 fatty acids. It keeps the muscle strong.

Combing them with other ingredients are great nutrients needed in the body. This meal can be taken at any time of the day but depends on the individual.
