I am gonna write and share to you my traveling memories in Camiguin Island .

Camiguin Island is the smallest Island in Mindanao and second smallest Island province in the Philippines and it is one of the popular Island in the Philippines and it known to the island “BORN OF THE FIRE” . Camiguin Island is one of the Island that you should visit because of the green jungles to explore , peacefully white sand beaches, waterfalls that should also be discover , hot and cold springs , their volcanoes to hike and other volcanoes that you just see closer while riding motorbike .

The good thing about this Island is not too many tourists or not crowded unlike the other Islands that I have been . Camiguin Island is a peaceful Island and based my research , it can almost be said that it has a zero crime rate.

SUNKEN CEMETERY

One of the famous tourist spot in Camiguin is the Sunken Cemetery, the old capital of Camiguin , with its cemetery , sunk under the sea . It is also known as the old volcano Mt. Vulcan erupted in 1827 and 1862 , which claimed hundreds of lives. Most areas of Camiguin Island submerged after the eruption of Mount Vulcan, and this includes their public cemetery and the remaining proof were some ruins and tombstones underwater. A white cross was built in 1982 but later it collapsed . I just had a chance to take a photo far away from the sunken cemetery because I was running out of money to pay the boat going there and also that time I didn’t hav a strength to go there since I do not know how to swim and did not truste the life vest yet . You can do snorkel and can see the corals and the fish are taking care of .

This is one of my unforgettable travel memories because this Island is the reason why I had my first experienced riding an airplane . It was also the first time I experienced that I get stranded on an Island for 2 days because of the typhoon . It supposed to have 4 days of vacation in Camiguin from February 8-12 ,2018 and will start my work on February 13,2018 but when we packed our things the day our schedule going back to Cebu, we had read the email from Airline that our flight is cancelled and will reschedule it to the next next day when the typhoon will gone. It was sad and nervous at the same time since the typhoon was so bad in there but I was praying that It will be okay . Two days after I had move my flights to February 15,2018 and I was glad and happy that I came home safely.
