CONTEST | Parody - Out of the Box Morning Mayhem

I wake up late: Alexa was set to Korean time. Blame Netflix last night; the series must have hypnotized me. But it's okay, my grandpa always said, "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today." I get out of bed, but I put my left foot down first, and I'm not left-handed. Okay, I can do this. Dodging clothes scattered from last night's European final where my favorite team lost, I head to the bathroom. Still half-asleep, I try in vain to hear the reassuring sound of liquid meeting liquid, but nothing happens. A small jolt to my neurons makes me realize that an elephant could have done better. Never mind. While repeating my mantra, my grandpa's figure appears: "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do now." Okay, grandpa. I grab some toilet paper and clean up the mess. I need to wash up; time is against me. I grab the toothbrush, look at my horrified face in the mirror, and squeeze the tube... too bad it was hair gel. Aaaah, enough! It's not my day. I fix my mistakes and realize that a good coffee is what I need. I go to the kitchen. "Alexa, play some music I like." I grab the coffee pot (no dubious pods for me), rinse off yesterday's grime, take the coffee from the fridge (yes, the fridge, it keeps the flavor), and sniff it, finding myself in an exotic mood. Meanwhile, Alexa completely messes up the playlist, giving me the usual drag, "Take Me to Church." "No, please Alexa... bip bip bip. Alexa, play blues music." In a fit of compulsive rage, I close the coffee pot and say to myself: "Good, one positive thing about this morning." I turn on the stove and start heating the coffee. Whistling, I try to tidy up the room. Even though my room looks awful, the sound is good. Something went wrong yesterday, and while tidying up a bit, a strange smell fills the room. Burnt smell. I approach the stove; the coffee pot is scorching hot, but there's no coffee in sight. "Alexaaaaaaa, turn it off!" I throw on the first two pieces of clothing I find and head to the bar. Umberto will know how to lift my spirits.
