So, the standings have been a bit different from the last week. Impressive NZ and India are at the top with 04 wins straight having a great start to the tournament.

Australia who lost the first two matches, is just turning around coming into the top 04, doing what they are doing best in the World Cups. Proteas Even though surprisingly lost for the Netherlands, they are announcing a next-level showcase upfront, against Sri Lanka, Australia, and now against England.

  • Mohammad Rizwan has been the leading run-scorer and he has been impressive in both matches, being the backbone of Pakistan.

  • Mitchell Santner is still the leading wicket-taker so far, with a fifer against the Netherlands.

It's good to see two Sri Lankans at the top five, in both the list.

Major Highlights so far

  • South Africa defeated SL by 102 runs, Aus by 134 runs, today England by record 229 runs. Their batters have been just impressive and in a good touch, so do the ballers. But Netherlands beating them was the biggest upset so far.

Due to rain, match was reduced to 43 overs. Batting first dutch couldn't get the perfect start. They were 82/5 at one moment, but ended up with 245/8 with the courtesy of Edwards. Well, the chase was quite tough surprisingly. SA lost 4 wickets for 44 inside 11 overs. Then it's a matter of time as they were all out for just 207 runs. This is a historic win as Netherlands defeated a Test playing nation in a 50 Overs World Cup, for the first time

  • It was not a nice camp for the defending champions so far. They lost against NZ by 9 wickets, won against Ban by 137 runs, today ambushed by SA by 229 runs. But losing against Afgan boys was the hardest.

It was only their 2nd win in world cups after 2015 and ended their 14-match losing streak in ODI World Cups with a 0famous win. Gurbaz took a plying start of 80 at the top batting first. After a few breakthroughs, they managed to set a total of 284 on the board. Afghan ballers were right on money from the start against strong Eng batting line up. Mujeeb, Rashid, Nabhi, Farrooqi was particular sensational and balled out Englishmen for just 215 runs.

  • India and Pakistan match was followed by any. Eventhough Pakistan batting first got a good start they choked at the end. Only able to score 191 runs. India chase it within 30 overs comfortably. It was their 8th consecutive win against Pakistan in ODI world cups!!!

So, that's it for this week. I hope you will find it interesting. The tournament already seems thrilling and waiting for a good season!! Just comment!

Until the next time! Enjoy!

Thank you.
Best Regards!

Well, here's my prediction on the semi-finalist...

India, South Africa, New Zeland and out of Aus, Eng & Pak most probably Aussie with the current form

Okay... After today I do believe the Aussie have a chance but I would like to see Pakistan going through.
Fingers cross! 🤞🏻
