The temple of Kali Paltan is located in Meerut city of NCR region of India. In this temple the idol of Bhole Baba [Lord Shiva a Hindu God] is established. This is a very ancient temple and it is also called Aughadnath temple.
Now this temple is famous and popular by the name of Aughadnath temple. The history of this temple is related to Indian history and it is a very sacred place for Hindus and a symbol of Hindu belief. Millions of people come to this temple every year for darshan and offer water to Holy Lord Shiva”s Shivling
When our country was not independent then the British government used to call Indian soldiers by the name of Kali Paltan i.e. Black Army. At that time India, Pakistan and Bangladesh were one country.
The British government gave its army of Indian soldiers a bullet made of banned animal meat fat for use, on this both Hindu and Muslim Indian soldiers became angry with the British and as a result of this, the first freedom struggle in India started in 1857.
This temple has a different significance from the incident of 10 May 1857. It is believed that Amar Shaheed Mangal Pandey first started the movement against the British from the Kali Paltan temple itself.
The revolution of 1857 had troubled the British rule not only in Meerut, but the whole state could not remain untouched by it. Meerut is the place where the revolutionaries first started revolting against the British.
When the revolutionaries attacked the British. When Indian soldiers revolted, the British had sent them to jail, due to which a wave of discontent ran among the people. Countless soldiers were put in jail.
The temple was named Kali Paltan Ka Mandir after the soldiers of Kali Paltan who raised the bugle of revolution against the British, later it was called Oghad Nath Temple, but even today Indians take pride in calling this temple Kali Paltan Ka Mandir.

কালী পল্টনের মন্দিরটি ভারতের এনসিআর অঞ্চলের মিরাট শহরে অবস্থিত।এই মন্দিরে ভোলে বাবার [ভগবান শিব একজন হিন্দু দেবতা] মূর্তি স্থাপন করা হয়েছে। এটি একটি অতি প্রাচীন মন্দির এবং একে অঘধনাথ মন্দিরও বলা হয়।
এখন এই মন্দিরটি অঘধনাথ মন্দির নামে বিখ্যাত এবং জনপ্রিয়। এই মন্দিরের ইতিহাস ভারতীয় ইতিহাসের সাথে সম্পর্কিত এবং এটি হিন্দুদের জন্য একটি অত্যন্ত পবিত্র স্থান এবং হিন্দু বিশ্বাসের প্রতীক। লক্ষ লক্ষ মানুষ প্রতি বছর এই মন্দিরে দর্শনের জন্য আসেন এবং ভগবান শিবের লিঙ্গে জল নিবেদন করেন।
আমাদের দেশ যখন স্বাধীন হয়নি তখন ব্রিটিশ সরকার ভারতীয় সেনাদের কালি পল্টন অর্থাৎ ব্ল্যাক আর্মি নামে ডাকত। তখন ভারত, পাকিস্তান ও বাংলাদেশ ছিল এক দেশ।
ব্রিটিশ সরকার তার ভারতীয় সৈন্যদের একটি নিষিদ্ধ পশুর মাংসের চর্বি দিয়ে তৈরি একটি বুলেট ব্যবহার করার জন্য দিয়েছিল, এতে হিন্দু এবং মুসলিম উভয় ভারতীয় সৈন্যরা ব্রিটিশদের প্রতি ক্ষুব্ধ হয়ে ওঠে এবং এর ফলস্বরূপ, 1857 সালে ভারতে প্রথম স্বাধীনতা সংগ্রাম শুরু হয়।
1857 সালের 10 মে এর ঘটনা থেকে এই মন্দিরের আলাদা তাৎপর্য রয়েছে। মনে করা হয়, অমর শহীদ মঙ্গল পান্ডে প্রথম কালী পল্টন মন্দির থেকেই ব্রিটিশদের বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলন শুরু করেছিলেন।
1857 সালের বিপ্লব শুধুমাত্র মীরাটেই ব্রিটিশ শাসনকে বিপর্যস্ত করেছিল, পুরো রাজ্য এটি থেকে অস্পৃশ্য থাকতে পারেনি। মিরাট সেই জায়গা যেখানে বিপ্লবীরা প্রথম ব্রিটিশদের বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ শুরু করেছিলেন।
বিপ্লবীরা যখন ব্রিটিশদের আক্রমণ করে। ভারতীয় সৈন্যরা বিদ্রোহ করলে ব্রিটিশরা তাদের জেলে পাঠিয়েছিল, যার ফলে জনগণের মধ্যে অসন্তোষের ঢেউ উঠেছিল। অগণিত সৈন্যকে কারাগারে বন্দী করা হয়।
কালী পল্টনের সৈন্যরা যারা ব্রিটিশদের বিরুদ্ধে বিপ্লবের বিউগল উত্থাপন করেছিল তার নামানুসারে মন্দিরটির নামকরণ করা হয়েছিল কালী পল্টন কা মন্দির, পরে এটিকে ওঘদ নাথ মন্দির বলা হয়, কিন্তু আজও ভারতীয়রা এই মন্দিরটিকে কালী পল্টন কা মন্দির বলে গর্ব করে।

১৮৫৭ সালের অনেক পুরাতন একটি মন্দির নিয়ে আপনি সুন্দর লিখেছেন। ওই পুরাতন মন্দির গুলো সাধারণত হিন্দু সম্রদায়ের ঐতিহ্য।

পুরাতন মন্দির সম্পর্কে অনেক অজানা তথ্য শেয়ার করেছেন, কালী পল্টনের সৈন্যরা ব্রিটিশদের বিরুদ্ধে বিপ্লবের চেয়েও উত্থাপন করেছিল সেই থেকে মন্দিরের নাম হয়েছে কালী পল্টন মন্দির। হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের জন্য গৌরবের এবং ঐতিহ্যের সাক্ষী মন্দির। সুন্দর লিখছেন অনেক ধন্যবাদ।
