Hello friends, happy weekend to us, welcome to second day in the month of February, I hope we all had a great day.

I am here to participate in the on going engagement challenge season 15 week 3. But before I proceed I am inviting my friends to join us in the contest.

What do you think when you see someone throwing rubbish carelessly?

IMG_20240201_064448_242.jpg

Ok, based on that, I think the person throwing rubbish carelessly is not enlightened and educated on environmental pollution, because if the person is well educated, I don't think the person would be ignorant enough to do that.
When I see someone throwing rubbish carelessly, the right thing to do is to caution and enlighten the person not to repeat the action, and if the person refuses to accept the correction the right thing to do is to make the person face the consequences, so that the person will have the sense of responsibility not to be throwing or disposing rubbish carelessly when next.

and, in your country what is the form of punishment for people who deliberately throw rubbish carelessly?

In my country Nigeria, precisely the punishment for people who throw rubbish carelessly is paying of fyne, maybe in terms of money or valuables.
Apart from that the can also be another form of punishment like sweeping the streets for a period of time or cleaning the area the person disposed carelessly. If a particular individual has been warned too many times, the is tendency for the victim to be imprisoned over a period of time like a period of 2 weeks to 4 months, depending on the weight of the offense.

At your place, is waste used to increase income?

Yes, waste is a factor of income increment.
In Nigeria we normally have scavengers which takes waste for recycling♻️ so as to get new products out of it, such as synthetic polymer(plastic), Iron, aluminum and polythene which when recycled and sold, produces good money and income out of it of which will cause increase in income to the recyclers and producers.

What are the benefits of waste that can make money there?

The benefits of waste that can make money is as follows

*Recycling of waste.
*Generating job opportunities for scavengers.
*Taxation of fyne from defaulters

In your opinion, how do you manage household waste properly so that it does not have a bad impact on the environment?

For me, I manage my household waste properly by not allowing it get accumulated before taking it either to incinerator or getting rid of them by burning them and taking the non-biodegreable waste to the recyclers.

Will the accumulation of large amounts of waste affect the comfort of people in your neighboring country?

Yes, if there is accumulation of waste it will surely affect the neighbouring countries because of spread of carbon dioxide which can cause global warming and other forms of air pollution.

How did that happen? share your opinion

The accumulation of a large amount of waste can affect the comfort people in the neighboring countries. A situation where waste is accumulated, it's can lead to environmental and health issues which can impact the comfort and well being of the people that are living nearby.

The presence of a large amounts of waste in a particular environment can release odours that are unpleasant which can attract unwanted pests like mosquitoes, rats and flies. And these pests can spread diseases and make people living in the neighborhood have discomfort

Water accumulation can spoil the soil and water source in the neighborhood and improper dispoasla of Hazzard waste can lead to pollution of lakes, rivers and groundwater and these can affect the availability of safe drinking water and damage the ecosystem.

Waste accumulation may also results in the increased of air pollution.

Accumulation of large amounts of waste happens due to some various reasons which includes, improper disposal practices, lack of recycling and poor management infrastructure. And also the importation of exportation of waste between countries also contributes to the accumulation of waste in the neighborng countries

In my own opinion, it's important for countries to prioritize proper waste management practices in thier countries and also works towards reducing waste generation.

Hello @mesola,
When it comes to littering of the environment, both educated and uneducated contribute to that. Most people sweep the orientation that was given regarding waste management under the carpet and do what they feel like without considering the consequences. Yes, there are several ways to utilize income from waste and I happy about one thing; free job opportunity for scavengers.

Very good and detailed explanation shared by you. Best wishes in the contest!

Hey there! 🌟 Your engagement challenge post is not just informative but also has a sprinkle of humor! 😄 That "broken handcuff" illustration cracked me up! 😂 Now, onto your waste wisdom:

Your insights on people throwing rubbish carelessly hit the nail on the head. Education is key, and your approach of cautioning and enlightening makes total sense. Plus, facing consequences like sweeping streets or cleaning the area can be an eye-opener.

Ah, Nigeria's way of handling waste is both eco-friendly and income-friendly! Scavengers turning waste into treasure, creating jobs, and even taxing the defaulters – that's a holistic approach! 💰♻️

Your personal waste management strategy is on point – not letting it accumulate and taking the non-biodegradable waste to recyclers. You're like the waste superhero of your household! 🦸‍♂️🗑️

The impact of waste accumulation on neighboring countries is a serious matter, but your explanation turned it into a lesson with that drowning man and plastic image! 😅 The ripple effect on health and comfort is vividly portrayed.

Your call for prioritizing proper waste management globally is spot on! Let's all be waste warriors and make our Earth a cleaner, greener place! 🌍♻️ Thanks for the insightful and entertaining read! Looking forward to more from you! 😊👏

Hola amiga, es triste cuando vemos muchas personas dañando el ambiente al tirar residuos, así sea inconscientemente, por descuido o intencionalmente, todas las formas creo que deben considerarse un daño al ambiente y ser penadas.

I agree with you that there should be fine payment like a punishment for those people who are not taking care of environment and rather than making it more beautiful playing their role in making the environment more beautiful I wish you success in this engagement.
