Hello, world! Warm greetings to you all, it's been one week now since we went on break for the engagement challenge, am very glad we are here now in season8week1. Congratulations to the selected communities and to be specific, congratulations to the steem fashion&style community for being selected, and a special thanks to the steemit team for their effort to see the plartform lively at all times. So, without any further ado, I want to share my ideas on the above topic so keep reading down friends.

Culture: it is simply a total way of the lives of people, how they live, the food they eat, their modes of dressing, greeting, and traditions entirely, the main aim of this topic is to know about m dear culture and of course, I am very glad to write about my culture and to be specific, to write on my cultural wears, how much it cost and how it is been produced. I will be answering the questions given by the community to ease the understanding of the contest so keep reading down.

What is your specific cultural attire and how frequently do you wear it?

IMG_20230105_153352_170.jpg

I am a Nigerian and in the country Nigeria, we have different cultures, the Northern part of Nigeria has its cultural ways of dressing but different attires anyways, so also have people in the East, West, and South. I am from the northern part of Nigeria, I am an Eggon by tribe and my specific cultural attire is the one in the pucture above,

IMG_20221012_092003_493.jpg

My culture is very unique and for that reason, we have two different cultural attires but all mean the same thing. Most times, I prefer wearing green-colored cultural attire because it makes me freer. The attire is of different quality as I discuss in the coming questions.

List and describe the activities for which you use this cultural attire.

Particularly traditional weddings

IMG_20230202_152026_287.jpg

Yes, the above traditional attire is particularly used in traditional weddings, the bride and the groom wear the same cultural attire and the friends or maids of honor wear the green color attire. At traditional weddings, other people can come out in their cultural attires too which would make the wedding colorful.

Festivity

We have different festivities where we put on the cultural attires, especially during the new year celebrations we were supposed to be wearing the attire but it has been announced that, aside from marriages or weddings, no one is wearing the cultural attire only the dancers wear theirs.

Canivals

We celebrate carnivals once a year and at the carnivals, the children are dressed, the young dresses and the old dresses in their attire, the dancers and drummers dress in their attires and everywhere looks lively.

Do you think your cultural attire is unique and how much does it cost in your country's currency?

My cultural attire is very unique and looks attractive to the eye, the color combination is amazing and beautifully mixed, and the colors have their different meanings, red signifies love, green signifies agriculture, white signifies peace and the black signifies unity.

Now, I have mentioned earlier that, the quality differs, the Ashoke is the most quality one which is 8000 naira which is steem equivalent to 44 steem, the white polo cost 2000 naira which is steem equivalent to 11 steem, the white lace and sewing cost 5000 niara which is equivalent to 27 steem and the green cultural attire costs 6000 naira, steem equivalent to 33 steem.

In conclusion, my culture is my pride and I am very happy to share my little knowledge on the above topic, this is to my lovely steemians who might be visiting my part of the world when you see the cultural attires above, you should know that it's my unique cultural attire, thank you all for reading through my post, I Invite @eliany, @yakspeace, @simonnwigwe, @josepha, @ruthjoe tooartucipare in this contest

Thanks and I love you all...

Culture is indeed a way of life, culture is a things that differentiate tribes from one and others so that we can identify that this person is from this culture. Best of luck

Your attire looks beautiful. We Nigerians thrive on our different cultures, with the beautiful food and events that take place. With the concrete way you wrote your article, I have learned a lot about the Eggon people. Good luck in the contest.

Friend I like your participation and also love your costume that you are sharing through your participation but I don't know about this costume that you are sharing but I must say that it seems me like a dress.

  • It seems me like a skirt. Skirt is also very famous in my country and mostly people wear it at events like birthday parties or welcome or farewell parties of institutions especially.

Yes you are saying right friend that when there is a good colour combination of a costume then it gives more pretty your look to costumes and make your dress more graceful. Due to the colour combination it also increase the uniqueness of dress. Greetings for you
