There are many import and export business available in Bangladesh. Beside importing foreign products we also export our own products in foreign countries. Our local product has good quality but honestly more pricey too because production cost is high when ensuring the best quality. The value of our native currency is 100x lesser than dollars so it feels expensive for we local people.

Bangladesh is famous for readymade garments and jute products as we have good production of jute in our country. Beside these two almost in every sector of business Bangladesh trying to expand its own production and agriculture is still our top priority for production. Anyway, today in this blog I'm going to share my top three local products that I use and love to purchase most of the time. Let's get start...!!

Share your personal experience in loving local products. What fascinates you and connects you to local products?

Personal experience on using local products is very positive and satisfying. Some brands are out of reach but affordable products can be purchased occasionally. Our product's best quality always encourage me to buy and use and this is the top priority of a consumer that they buy quality product even it could be little pricey.

People who gives priority to quantity and can compromise quality they often buy products that can be affordable but not worth buying. So quality, design, finishing everything does matter to me for a product. I might buy a little but that should have rich quality and that's my top priority always.

Explain the benefits and positive impacts of supporting local products. How can your contribution help the growth of the local economy and surrounding community?

When we buy local products it certainly help the economy of our own country and who doesn't want to contribute on local finance or economy? As a citizen of my own country I'll try my best to buy local products and will encourage others to buy it too but there is a condition applies and that should be quality product and worth buying product for sure.

The positive impact of buying local products is encouraging local production houses to produce more quality products. This way we can increase the value of our local products and we can export it confidently to earn foreign currency too. Local products makes us proud because it worth buying for it's best quality. Our economy can do more progress if we contribute on buying and trusting our local products. Running after foreign products can be beneficial for the economy of foreign countries and local products can improve the finance and economy of our own country.

Name one or two popular local products in your area. Tell us why tourists often look for it. No need to be too detailed, focus on the attractiveness of the product.

Aarong is popular local product for the best quality of it and it has both clothing and dairy products and it trying to expand its production more and already earn good reputation and holding it for such long time. Beside this I personally like the local product brand Ashol for grocery items. I love local traditional sweet production brand Mithai too because I'm a sweet lover and often buy sweets and bakery products from here.

Aarong is the most popular Bangladeshi clothing brand. You can find at least 1 aarong shopping bag in every Bangladeshi family. It was started in the year 1978. Ayesha Abed and Martha Chan are the founder of aarong. Source

My favorite local product brand is Aarong and it is famous for clothing, lather accessories , dairy products and it has several branches or showrooms in our capital city Dhaka. The uniqueness of Aarong products is simplicity and representing the traditions of Bangladesh by printing traditional views and designs on clothing, collecting fresh products from villages of our country, it has own production house, artists and a big team working restlessly to hold the reputation of it for years.

I've attached the website link with Aarong where there visitors can see their new collections and products. Last time I bought a lather wallet paying 630 BDT (Bangladeshi Taka) including VAT and Tax. and it was approximately equal to 22 steem in price. It was a birthday gift for my dearest one.
