Assalamu alaikum my Steemian friends. I hope everyone is safe in their place. I am well and healthy by the grace of Allah. Incredible India has once again come to us with a beautiful competition. The main topic of this Steemit Engagement Challenge S7/W5 is what you do to stay balanced in times of stress.

Stress can be defined as any change that causes physical, emotional, or mental stress. Stress is your body's response to a situation requiring attention or action. Everyone experiences some degree of stress. Sometimes, a little stress can help us complete tasks and feel more energized. In some cases, stress can affect our physical and emotional health.

What do you do to stay balanced in times of stress?

Many times we cannot maintain emotional balance during stress. Stress can range from emotional disturbances, short temper, irritability, lack of motivation, avoidance of responsibilities, making mistakes at work, feeling like giving up, and even self-harm or suicidal thoughts. In this case, what we should do to maintain mental balance is mentioned below :

  • Work Balance :
    When we are under work stress, we should increase our stress by overwork. To keep stress under control, we need to balance our work. Taking time daily to relax and recharge will reduce your stress, even if it's just a few minutes.

  • Plan your day :
    Use a calendar or planner application to keep track of your daily schedule. Add your activities. Block times to study for tests and work on assignments. Block in time to do things you enjoy. Having a plan and a daily routine helps reduce stress.

  • Use the positive power of stress :
    Wait to put things off until the last moment. It's too stressful. And it's easier to do your best if you're in a hurry. Instead, let stress motivate you to take action. If you have a deadline, give yourself a positive push.

  • Deal with problems as they arise :
    Don't ignore everyday problems - but don't stress about them either. Instead, could you find out how to handle them? If you are still trying to out what to do, ask others for help and advice.

  • Consuming Healthy Food :
    What you eat affects your mood and stress level. Choose food that's good for you. You can avoid all the treats. But if sweets are your primary fuel source, you may feel crushed — and stressed!

  • Adequate Sleep :
    With enough sleep, you can feel relaxed about the day's ups and downs. To avoid a stressful morning rush, schedule bedtimes and wake-up times. Close the curtains well before bed.

  • Exercise Daily :
    Stress melts away while working, playing sports, or dancing to your favorite music. Exercise does more than keep you fit. It is a way to manage stress and depression and make your mood more positive.

Give three main reasons behind our stress?

Our lifestyle has a impact on our physical and mental health. Due to this, you keep facing various physical and mental problems. The reasons are hidden in your daily habits, even if you can't find them. If you don't change them, you will gradually get sicker.

Three main reasons that can lead to stress problems are :


  • Unhealthy food :
    Your health depends a lot on how you eat. When you eat healthy food, your body and mind will be healthy. Because then your body will get enough nutrition. But if you eat unhealthy food, it will affect your mental health as well. You will experience various mental problems. If it is allowed to increase, there will be no speed without resorting to a doctor.

  • Lack of physical activity :

It doesn't matter if you are a working person who spends most of the day sitting in front of the computer. Most of the day is spent sitting with laptops, smartphones, etc. Due to this, physical activity decreases. By sitting like this, you are playing twelve of your mental problems.

If you don't exercise separately, at least do activities like walking or cycling. Even doing housework can provide benefits like exercise. Sweeping the house and mopping the house can be good exercise. It will release happy hormones in your body. As a result, the mind will be sound.


  • If you don't get enough sleep: :
    Adequate sleep at night is essential to function smoothly during the day. If the sleep cycle is disturbed, it affects the body and mind. A bad habit of many is spending time on the smartphone screen while sleeping. It disturbs your sleep. So if you have this habit, eliminate it. Because if you don't sleep, it will affect your mental state.

These three main things must be given importance in living. Because if you do these three things correctly, your path to health will be much easier. The mind will be happy, and it will be good.

Stress has a powerful impact on many aspects of your life – not only can it affect your mood, energy level, relationships, and work performance, stress can cause and exacerbate various health conditions. An essential approach to stress management is perhaps the most powerful, and that is adopting the right attitude. Our thoughts create our reality, and so if we can become aware of our thoughts, we have the power to change them.

To deal with stress and it helps to investigate your stressors and how you react to them.

• Understand in which situations you feel stressed.
• Understand what situations you can control and what you can't.
• Prepare ahead of time for stressful events by thinking ahead.
• Keep yourself healthy through good nutrition, exercise, and regular rest.
• Try doing happy things every day.

If you follow the above points seriously in your stressful life, your daily life can be stress-free because taking care of your mental health is essential if you want to build a beautiful life.
