That was a challenge related to this platform's voting system;
where our friends shared their expertise about the mentioned topic.

Though a few participated in this contest;
and among them, some of them did not use the correct title, and some were out of the club. However, we selected three winners;
who not only meet all the criteria but also justify the topic.

Before announcing the winners, we would like to compliment each participant;
who took part in this challenge.

A downvote on steemit is not a good thing. Downvote is done to take back the vote given on a user's posts and also as a punishment for an offense committed.

Back then in 2021, I knew a user who started off genuinely as a blogger on Steemit. He got so much support from the Steemit team and all of a sudden he was discovered to have been involved in some sort of dirty games.

That same day he was discovered, instead of giving an apology, he went on justifying his criminal acts, and guess what happened? He got downvoted in 5 of his posts from 01 and 02. Not long after, he left the platform.

and also explained why and how downvotes can impact our accounts. That could be a lesson for all steemians to learn; why we must not follow any unethical act here. Hence we selected the post for the first position.}

Downvotes affect our accounts in two different ways: our reputation and the support that has already been given. For example, a user who has received $50 in upvotes should get a downvote from a top account with high Steem power; the user's post will then be valued at $1 or less, which will also affect the person's reputation.

Also, downvotes bring shame to a user, making the person look in the eyes of other users as someone who can't contribute meaningfully on the Steemit platform. If my post gets downvoted for plagiarism, it will definitely affect my reputation and growth.

Overall the downvotes have a major role in maintaining fairness, justice and real spirit on that platform and help to discourage the spammers, the users who are creating plagiarized content and doing any unacceptable acts. So we should keep continuously discoursing that type of content and Play our role in maintaining the fairness of that wonderful platform.

_{The author above mentioned how the fear of downvotes can decrease plagiarism, and spamming. However, the author try to justify the topic, therefore we selected the post in the third position.}

The reason for the selection of the above topic was to understand all steemian that like life in this platform there is a black-and-white portion.

Now it is up to users whether they will follow the white path or the black! But before that, we need to comprehend that the steemit platform also has some rules that must need to be followed, otherwise they could come under punishment through downvotes.
