SEC17/W3|Experiences come with age or circumstances!

in Incredible India4 months ago (edited)

Hi! Steemit family, heartfelt greetings to you all. Learning is a continuous process. We stop learning when we die. I want to write on experience comes with age or circumstances.

How do you define maturity?

I define maturity as the state of having once emotional and mental abilities fully developed. When someone is fully developed emotionally and mentally, it will be made manifest in his/her actions, reactions, and sense of judgment.

I also see maturity as the behaviour expected of an adult which has to do with the way he thinks, speaks, addresses issues, understanding, and his emotions. Maturity to some extent has nothing to do with age because one can be fully developed (matured) physically but exhibit a lack of maturity in his behavior or speech. I have seen children who think, speak, and behave like adults and i have also seen an adult who behaves and think like a child.

What do you believe experiences come with age or circumstances? Define.

Experience is an encounter that leaves a positive or negative effect on someone. This shows that the effect is as a result of participation or observation as the case may be.

Age on the other hand is a lenght of time that person has existed regardless of his mental and emotional stage.
For me, experience has more to do with circumstances than age. We are what we do. Our involvement or connection to circumstances hightened us. Experience comes when there is an encounter or observation which happens with time. Therefore, when you get involved directly or observe as others are doing, you get informed, gain knowledge, new ideas.

Experience comes with exploring and learning things, throughout your life at all ages. Unfortunately, some older people think they know better or have the answers, even when they don't.

Do you believe older people can also learn so many things from youth? Justify.

I quite agree that older people can also learn from the youth. Experience comes with circumstances and not age.
In the 21st century, older people can learn how to connect with others through technology. Before now, letter-writing and phone calls were the means of connection. But today, there are other technological platforms where older people can learn to connect with others like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc. Recently I taught an elderly mother how to make a WhatsApp video call. She was so excited because she could see who she was talking to.
Older people can also learn from the youth

Conclusion
Learning is a continues process. We stop learning completely when we die. Thank you for spending time to read my content. I love you all.
I also invite @vickyson, @josepha, @saintkelvin17 to also participate.

@caringmanasseh
It was great to read good post and really informative as we all know that situations sometimes arise which play an important role in making us wiser but we are still so old. Even if it doesn't happen, we still give evidence of maturity. Age also has a lot to do with it. As we grow older, we become more mature. As we face their different attitudes, we automatically become wiser and stronger and able to face the situation.

@caringmanasseh Your take on maturity and experience is spot on! I totally agree that maturity isn't just about age its about how we handle emotions and situations. And your insight on experience being tied to circumstances rather than just time is so true. Learning never stops right? Wishing you the best of luck in the contest

Greeting my friend, i really enjoy your post and your post is really thoughtful and the maturity.

Your example 21th century is really spot on and as young we can help older to use technology and guide that how to connect peoples through technology.

Regards, sitaraindaryas... Good luck

Haha, bro it's all over the world i guess. I've also seen a child acting and making decisions as a an adult, at the other hand, seeing an adult act and make decisions like a child. This alone shows that maturity Isn't defined by age.

The older people acting as if they know everything because of their age also happens here in my environment. I met an old man one day trying to restore his smartphone. He tried and tried but couldn't, i walked down to help him out but he claimed he can. After some days, he damaged the phone, was so sad.

Older people should be open to learning because we're now living in a digital world. Best of luck.

I was with my boss one day, she is aware that I love browsing and she was curious to know how I have been browsing with data. She ask me and I explained to her I sometimes use vpn of I don't have data, she couldn't believe, untill I installed the app ande started Using it, do you know why am giving this example, it's to show that even adult can learn from a 5 years boy. Learning is a continuous thing, we keep learning till we die.

talking about experience, it can be through age or circumstances depending on what is at hand. I Iove your presentation. keep it up sir.
