INTRODUCTION

Laziness is a disease that has eaten deep into the lives of many today, that many do not want to work anymore, rather they prefer to steal from others, which is bad.

And before discussing about laziness, permit me to extend my warm greetings to my family and friends in this community, and my heart especially goes out to our family and friends in Bangladesh, and I hope you all stay safe.

Over the years, laziness has been studied and debated amongst several researchers, philosophers and psychologist across various disciplines.

And after several studies, laziness can be explained in simple terms to mean the absence of energy, motivation or enthusiasm to be a participant of productive activities, which oftentimes results to inactivity, a procastination or a general avoidance of such activities.

EFFECT OF LAZINESS

There are several effects of laziness on a person and we shall be discussing them now.

• STUNTED DEVELOPMENT:

One major effect of laziness on a person is that it result to stunted development on that individual, and it can also lead to an unrealised potential of such user.

For example, if a person is being able to achieve a lot by working hard, he won't be able to achieve such if he remains lazy.

And a lazy person will miss a lot of connections with men that matters, rather, they will remain in the cycle of their fellow lazy individual.

• POOR SELF-ESTEEM:

Another challenge of being lazy is that the individual in question will be looked down upon and this gives him a low self esteem.

An individual with lack of confidence in himself is as good as dead, he cannot do anything by himself.

With a low self esteem, a person cannot come out in public, he can not speak for himself and will be tossed around by people, just like a slave.

• DAMAGED REPUTATION:

Another stain laziness brings to an individual is a damaged reputation.

When it is noticed that a person is lazy, every other person stays away, and this individual will be tagged to be useless in the society, and this is not a good name.

A damaged reputation can make one to miss out on lots of business deals, and as a result, such a person will remain poor.

Dissatisfaction in one's job is another effect of laziness in a person's life.

When an individual is known to be a lazy person, many will be dissatisfied in whatever services he renders, as he will not be able to keep up to time and agreement.

And this will keep a person jobless, and we know what it means to be jobless with no work, this implies that such a person won't have food to water, and this can lead to death.
